Did roads back then really have reflective-ish surfaces?
Where the street sweeper is, there’s water (which it’s putting down in front of the sweeper).

“Sweeper” or “grinder?” It kinda doesn’t look like it’s actually removing anything.
Okay, so via it’s magnificent rubber whirlagig device, it hydrates little bits of trash, takes them on a short ferris-wheel ride, then drops them back off about 1’1/2 feet ahead of their original position.
Ain’t technology grand..?
