Meta just announced that they are trying to integrate Threads with ActivityPub (Mastodon, Lemmy, etc.). We need to defederate them if we want to avoid them pushing their crap into fediverse.

Just for a moment consider the following. Facebook priorities posts that get engagement, they don’t care about morality and fairness and they won’t stop untill it is illegal to do so.

And at that point you can safely assume they are enemy of freedom - they don’t have to promote authoritarianism, it’s enough for them to benefit from a system that strips us from our freedoms, and happily keep operating.
