Yea I remember the “China Virus” remarks a certain felon made.

There was a lot of anti-Asian hatred.

My ancestry is Chinese, I’m a US Citizen living in the US.

And the felon is gonna be president again…

    😖

People in US would rather have a felon, rapist, and a geriatric old man as a president than a woman leading the way.

says a lot about the country as a whole.

So every other instance of “we investigated ourselves and found no wrongdoing” is to be called into question, but we just gonna accept this because?

The latest analysis, which has not been peer reviewed, includes data from the whole genomes of 56 new betacoronaviruses, the broad group to which SARS-CoV-2 belongs, as well as some partial sequences. All the viruses were collected between 2004 and 2021.

Still a developing story, so it’s not conclusion i guess.

Even if it was peer reviewed there’s no means to ensure the input is meritable. The sample set was determined by governance. The implied conclusions were predetermined.

Part of the point of the peer review process is to check for that. This kind of satay would be very hard to fake well enough to pass the scrutiny of a bunch of skeptical scientists. And if it passes that any scientist will be able to do the same. Being able to force an other scientist to retract a Nature paper would be a high prize for any academic.

It’s China, who’s authoritarian governance controls the dataset.

The fucking paper even says so itself in the abstract, lmao.

It’s too late. The Republicans already have their story, inconvenient facts don’t matter. The people who care about its real origins aren’t the ones making laws.

Chinese culture places undue importance on saving face at all costs.

If this was at all true, it would have been put out in February 2020, not in December 2024

It’s weird how anti Chinese racism is just accepted to the point some bigoted censored can just say “Chinese culture XYZ” and expect to be taken seriously.

That’s cute, which of the several thousand recognized Chinese cultures did you marry into?

There isn’t a single unified one, anymore than theres a white culture or Indian culture.

Let’s put it a different way, I hear it’s just a part of black culture to show bravado at all times. Now if you correctly recognize that as a racist statement, you can recognize the your precious nonsense as the racist shit it is.

And marrying someone of a race doesn’t make you automatically not racist towards that race, you ‘i have a black friend’ excusing ass.

don’t act like you’d not have said the same shit then, as you do now.

if this was all true, it would have been put out in November 2019, when the first rumors started, not in February 2020

Yeah true, it would have been November 2019. I picked Feb because it was when things started getting out of control.

I blamed them then and decried how they suppressed evidence and news then, and I decry it now.

Lets also not forget that their “Sinovac” is actually “CanSinovac” as it was only possible for them to produce it at all thanks to Canadian lab work.
