WHAT?!
Sorry to inform you this way, ol’ chap. Turns out that if we really wanted to we could have let you out the entire time! Apparently the tech was elementary, my dear hard light reconstruction.
Well, elementary for 29th century chaps.
Nah, elementary for 24th! The mobile transmitter was developed within a few years of Moriarty being cube’d.

Doc’s was from the 29th century but Federation was using them in the 25th (Picard s3) but I just assumed they were just based off the EMH one.
So, timey wimey stuff.
25th century. Too late for at least two of the sentient holograms we’ve seen who really could’ve used em.

RIP Holo-Janeway. Sorry they haven’t invented split 7zip archives in your timeline.
How the fuck did I forget that.
My apologies for my stupidity.
I like to think there was a bug in the holomatrix and that’s why Moriarty ended up as the butler on The Nanny
Oh how did I never realize that before?!
Honestly? Not bad headcanon although you’re making me wanna post ‘my’ Cheers meme next…
You have a Cheers meme? Yes, please. Post that.
It’s buried somewhere in this giant fucking folder.
I try not to post too frequently so I won’t be posting it ‘soon’ but I’ll have it up in an hour and a half-ish? I’ll tag you (if I can figure out how to do that) in the comments.
Moriarty is such an underrated character, I really wish more was done with him, even in the novels.
Completely agree but I’m not surprised so little was done with them. Conan only made Moriarty to kill Sherlock so there’s not much more to explore there. Then CBS was using Moriarty without having the rights to him at first. Kinda fucked up their plans.
Ship in the Bottle is such a great episode and ending for the character, though I wish his appearance in Picard wasn’t just a short cameo.
Nice
