Pardon the trite advice, but it really is a marathon, not a sprint.

How ever you’re feeling is a-okay, but if you find things to look forwards too, lean into them.

35-year-old me: I don’t care about being tired and wanting to be happy anymore, I just want to have my basic needs met and humanity to be better.

        37 here.

I have zero hope in humanity. Sure, you’ll wave your signs and protest like we all have and do, but less will as rightwing rhetoric destroys more young minds minute by minute. I can’t even keep a damn microphone on any game anymore without hearing lib this and lies that.

This shit has been going on for over 40 years. Good luck.

This really takes me back. I couldn’t even count how many things I wanted to be as a kid. Ended up studying chemistry in college and then becoming a computer programmer. But overall I feel like my succession of hobbies and interests have always defined me WAY more than my job has.

I always wonder if he has any siblings, like and what did you do? “I sold more units this quarter and got a congratulatory certificate with a $25 Applebee’s gift card”.

    As a 20 year old, I have both :')

Still want to do uni and make a name for myself, achieve some cool things for the world & humanity, but at the same time I feel like just “making the most of it,” and try being content just messing around with electronics and FOSS in my free time… But I guess that can just be my back-up if university doesn’t pan out.

I want to be a professor so I can do Foss stuffs. I see a lot of flexibility on the type of tech used by professors.

Dam, at 25 I still felt great. I think it started taking its toll on me every year after that though. 30 onward everything is tiring, it was a good run…

So if I get a PhD in engineering field and become a professor. All I need is a chance to get to space and I’ll get everything. Nice
