If only they had desert power.
If only they had desert power.
I had never heard of mbin. I see it’s a fork of kbin. What does it do differently?
The issue is it’s only terrorism when the “bad guys” do it. The word is beyond useless.
Adam and Jamie were awesome, but I’m certain there are some passionate makers or something out there who could fill the role. It wouldn’t be the same, but it could be it’s own thing. Whoever the new hosts were must have just been the wrong casting, but also I don’t know how much Discovery cared because I didn’t know about it and I was a huge Mythbusters fan. I guess I just didn’t pay attention because Discovery had already killed everything that was worth paying attention to them for by that point.
It’s amazing to me that Discovery hasn’t tried to bring Mythbusters back. Instead they double down on Ancient Aliens and Pawnstars garbage.
Man, that’s a horrible thought. We can’t escape Mormons knocking on our door even in death.
I think Trump is just an exceptionally bad politician, not that politicians are exceptionally good. Trump has no empathy and no self control. That’s what makes him bad. Biden is boring, but when next to that looks skilled. Somehow some people like Trump though and I really don’t get it.
You’re being down voted, but I want to add in that terrorism is a word used by the ruling class to tell you who to hate. When the state (usually, although this case didn’t exempt them) uses violence and fear, that’s the good kind of violence and fear. When a non-state actor uses it, it’s terrorism. The only thing that separates “justified force” from “terrorism” is if the ruling class wants you to like it or not. For example, look at what the IDF is doing. It somehow isn’t terrorism just because they’re a state who’s in favor with the ruling class?
This also implies the most moral Mormons would stop spreading “the truth.” They would sacrifice themselves to save the many. When has religion actually dealt with morality though?
I was pretty confident this was someone’s (hopefully joke) tail butt plug. How is this a really thing?
They’re asking for money from other people. Yes, he should give them money. He is profiting off of murder. He’s an asshole. Why should anyone else give them money though? I don’t pity them. The mom raised an asshole murderer. Maybe it’s not her fault, but she has to have some responsibility in it.
Yeah, and we shouldn’t pity them because they have an asshole son. Sure, it’d be the right thing for him to do if he were a good person, but him not taking financial responsibility for them doesn’t mean anyone else should be either. I’d much rather them help someone else.
Possibly. I’d imagine the vast majority of people don’t see the followup that there wasn’t damage, here, or the Mona Lisa, or the other events. The goal was outrage coverage for sure, and without causing damage so anyone who actually cares is fine with it. The media will just call it paint, and now that the potential for damage is clear they’ll stop talking about it.
OK, I think maybe you should take some time before you respond.
I never claimed to be a victim.
OK.
You might read the order of comments here and notice that people are attacking me…
What do we call someone who is the subject of an attack?
I think you’ve got to just give up arguing this. You made a mistake, which is fine if we own up to it and don’t repeat it. In the future, don’t dismiss protests because of perceived damage that you don’t actually have any knowledge of. You aren’t going to win the argument here, which shouldn’t be your goal, but you can prevent yourself from making the same mistake in the future.
It’d also likely not be seen as derogatory if it weren’t being served to them by their white corporate masters. I’m certain many black families enjoy these dishes to this day for juneteenth. However, some rich white people deciding to serve their workers that for a day celebrating the freeing of black Americans is a horrible look and there’s no way anyone assumes anything but stereotypes used to make fun of black people for decades.
While shitty, what does him helping them financially have to do with anything? He shouldn’t be responsible for them. There are many people in the US in worse situations, and they don’t get special treatment because, I guess, they aren’t family with a famous murderer.
I don’t read it as saying they’re wrong. I read it as saying it’s unreliable. If someone has a cacaine addiction, I’m not going to trust them to hold on to some crack and not use it. If they can prove themselves reliable then they may be trusted.
I don’t think I agree with this person’s opinion, but it’s not what you said it was.
Israel does make some of their own weapons. (Have you ever heard of the Uzi or Desert Eagle?) Just not enough for their current goals. I’ve heard that proposed as a reason the US provides them so many weapons, to suppress the growth of their local weapons industry.
I totally agree with everything you said. This case was handled poorly. I was arguing it can be useful, but should be handled as if it’s a firearm, not a toy, because it is. There should have been no chance (or as close to that as possible) of this happening, but it doesn’t mean there is zero use cases.
New report argues for obviously needed change that probably isn’t going to happen.
