Obviously what they did was wrong, and I like to think I’d have acted differently, but would I actually if I’d already spent years in a concentration camp like they did? I can’t even imagine what that does to you mentally. Just because what they did was wrong doesn’t mean they weren’t also victims themselves, but then that also doesn’t completely excuse it.

Looks like Mahl was sentenced to 10 years hard labour and the other 2 received the death sentence, but I don’t know if that’s what actually happened or if that’s just what the court recommended. That’s at the top of page 166.

I think it’s just that the majority of users don’t care what the platforms they use do, it’s just a vocal minority that complain about the issues and even fewer who actually try any of the alternatives
