Username confirms my impulse to state that I have a duty to eat mushrooms with my partner on major holidays. We did on TG last month and on Xmas day last year. No kids to get in the way and kitties are fucking soft and awesome.

As a childless couple: we do the kind of stuff one normally does with kids, but for ourselves.
Dino parks, zoos, science museums, castles.
And we get to enjoy it at times when other people have kids in school and outside of school holidays.
This has a certain amount of divorced guy “I get to sleep in a racecar bed” energy to it.
See how little it takes to make us happy
Divorced is not the same as childless, there are still obligations.
