Ensure that the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) monitors, and reports on, the numbers of COVID infections that occur in healthcare settings through its routine surveillance programmes, and advises on how to prevent and control infection in establishments such as hospitals, care homes and schools.
I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted, you’re absolutely right.
Everyone has had the opportunity for multiple vaccinations, people also know that the chance of COVID affecting you severely is correlated with smoking and obesity, everyone has had plenty of time to lose weight and give up smoking.
Honestly, if COVID is still an issue for you, it’s on you at this point.
Then you also have to ask “what if we see a huge rise in COVID numbers?”. Do you want another set of lock downs? Do you want the government to print another £250 billion and spend it on things that have no intrinsic value and then act surprised when we get 10% inflation and no payrises? Literally, what is the point of recording COVID numbers?
Because COVID is the endemic stage now and we can manage it with vaccines.
The flunis endemic, we still report on it. Hiding or ignoring information is just foolish when managing public health.
It’s manages with vaccines, and other measures.
Endemic doesn’t mean unserious and vaccines do not prevent transmission or long COVID.
Covid-19 is ravaging several continents. To suggest it is located in one country alone is simply incorrect.
So what benefit would there be to the UK and the world of recording COVID infections?
