If you only read the name of the community and are immersed in the political landscape of the USA, this place could be seen as right-wing. When you see the first posts or read the sidebar that possible confusion does get cleared up pretty quickly though.
I could definitely see that, “liberty” has been appropriated by the right since at least the 1940s and perhaps especially since the 1970s. Someone would have to stay pretty unaware to continue thinking this isn’t a left-wing community, though 😅 Still, stranger things have happened.
