Tried moving the video forward while watching this Peertube livestream in Arctic, but the app crashed instead. The app crashed again when trying to do so again, but didn’t crash when attempting to do the same with a pre-recorded Peertube video.

No worries; glad to post bug reports as I find them! 👍

Not sure if there’s a way to federate PeerTube videos directly for viewing in Arctic, other than making a new post, but at the time of this reply, this video seems to be live.

I’m not sure of any current means of federating PeerTube videos. However I can look into adding an action for PeerTube links to open them in the in app media viewer. Either way I should be able to patch this with any live video link and a few quick tests.

If that’s implemented, perhaps it could be done so with a toggle to enable or disable it? While I’d find online video rendering more useful than a link on mobile, others may want to see the comments or go to the original page for another reason.

A toggle would not be necessary for this one, I was planning to just add an action the the long press action menu on PeerTube links. By default, tapping the link would open it in the browser.

Eventually I’d like to support PeerTube link embedding in comments as well, but I’ve got a few things that are more pressing at the moment.
