Why are you commenting this all over Lemmy?
is something wrong with it, officer?
Uhhhhh im gunna need to see some id and your ‘okay’ license sir, please step out of the vehicle
damn shit, my insurance just expired
Well it seems kind of unnecessary and spammy?
yeah sure, I’m just commenting to boost engagement. sometimes the post is so mind numbingly evil or sad or just interesting and I don’t really want to sit and think about something interesting to say to entertain the gay people in my computer, but they might see the post if it has more interactions
Comments might influence the Hot algorithm (I haven’t checked) but Lemmy is small enough that people will be using different sorting like top 6 hours or new.
This isn’t youtube and I think your efforts are mostly wasted.
yeah it’s not much of an “effort”, but I get your point. you’re saying I should make a few dozen bots do it…
No Im saying the platform is built in a way that your strategy is entirely pointless.
Alright fair enough. I do love that you’re trying to get engagement up, but I think your method might not be the most optimal.
