The U.S. government has announced that it is recognizing opposition candidate Edmundo González as the winner of Venezuelan’s presidential election, despite the country’s electoral authority giving the victory to President Nicolás Maduro.
It turns out that when you claim an electoral victory and rebuff everyone’s requests for actual proof of said victory, people tend to doubt you. How shocking! Clearly this is the result of Yankee Imperialism™
I couldn’t figure out why you were saying that, and then I saw OPs post history and realized almost every comment they make on here is heavily down voted for some form of bigotry.
Oh please, it’s not anywhere near all, and even then only like half of the downvoted stuff could be conceivably called bigotry of some variety. A lot of what I say gets hated for being fiercely anti-corporate instead.
I’m saying if someone claims Satan, Godzilla, or Superman exists, refusing to provide proof is a great way to get dismissed and the opposite concluded.
Generally, nations keep tallies of their citizens’ names via things like birth records or naturalization papers, along with some sort of way to identify the person who is voting matches their name, so I’m guessing it’s pretty easy to prove that Godzilla didn’t vote legally whether or not it existed.

You mean the proof that was repeatedly presented and affirmed by the courts, and that even the morons employed by fascist cunts couldn’t find serious fault with?
No, we only call the people insurrectionists who tried to stop the counting of the vote.
This is also ignoring the 55 law suits that found zero evidence of substantial fraud.
Why are you here? You’re clearly not welcome on Lemmy, go get a hobby or something. Rethink your life

Really, this is the thing you choose to respond to, of everything that’s been said?
Why not? They said something at least marginally interesting.
So you don’t like being called out for being a bigot because you don’t think you are one?
Yea, that’s exactly the kind of boring comment I don’t care about. Great example.
Yeah I don’t typically tell people to fuck off, but when I see a bigot I do
What a weird comment to leave here.
Oh, you are saying that Satan, Godzilla and Superman exist, since nobody has proven otherwise, right?

Would be funny if independent groups hadn’t reviewed the results
