He claimed in 2019 that “people are flushing toilets 10 times, 15 times, as opposed to once” as a result of insufficient water pressure.

Uhh, this sounds like a “you” problem, Mr. President. More fiber might help. Anyway, thanks for broadcasting your bowel troubles to the whole world, it sure makes you look strong.

“people are flushing toilets 10 times, 15 times, as opposed to once” as a result of insufficient water pressure

How do US toilets work? It should be independent of water pressure, there is a tank of water that gets prefilled, right?

He doesn’t blame them personally. He and every GOP politician don’t actually believe most of the propaganda they peddle; excluding regards like MTG and public handjob hooker.

Most of what they say and do is a performance — it’s all part of the conservative cinematic universe — manufactured to manipulate the feefees of the mentally-ill MAGA cult. I’m not saying they aren’t imminently dangerous fascists. I’m saying we shouldn’t entertain the idea that their words mean anything but grift.

While it’s true there is a huge amount of performance in the average republiQan spiel, trump absolutely blames Obama and Biden personally.

Supporting facts include his pathological need to injure them at all times no matter the circumstance or reasoning.

They may signify things to him psychologically but he talks about and reacts to them as personalities and has done so since the start of this insanity.

Morbidly obese people have giant greasy shits and evi friendly toilets are designed for normal sized shits that contain some amount of fiber. If you weigh 300 lbs and only eat cheesburgers (like a certain president) it’s possible that you need multiple flushes per shit.

People with bad diets make poop that doesn’t flush easily as healthy poop that’s got fiber in it.

Also, Americans always need to invent their own way to do things (cheaper), instead of using the existing European and Japanese toilets. The early ones wouldn’t flush a tissue.

I have lived in the US my entire life and grew up in abject poverty (think really, really shitty housing infrastructure). I have never seen a toilet that needed to be flushed 10 fucking times. I mean, I know Republicans are completely full of shit but even they can’t cause that to happen. It’s laughable.

To give the benefit of the doubt, which I don’t think he deserves, he may be dealing with low-flow toilets which waste a lot less water. And when you eat McDonald’s every day, you probably get backed up pretty badly and maybe overload the toilet on a regular basis.

Most of his toilet problems could probably be solved with a poop knife.

Understand this: they’re not his own EOs (well, maybe this one is) - I think by now they’ve got his choke chain short enough that he’s actually getting committee approval before doing stuff, even stuff like this may be his idea, may be his words, but the timing of the EO and the language on paper as well as the press release delivery has all been considered for maximum effect by people who know what the hell happens when stuff like this goes out in the press.

He’s shot off his mouth about the multiple flushes many times in the past. The strategy committee decided that now was the time to use an actual EO of the concept to fill the news cycle with their crap instead of somebody else’s.

When we first started using low flow toilets in I think 1990s they were poorly designed and didn’t flush well. Over half a century we went from 7 gal/flush —> 5–> 3 —> 1.4 and sometime less, but you can’t just use the same design with less water. Modern designs still save water but flush much more effectively.

Similarly early low flow showerheads were poorly designed but you can spend $20 on a 1.2 gal/minute that works really well, assuming you have the water pressure. My house is at the high end of acceptable pressure so I have to use a reducer with that

Yes, that is exactly how our home toilets work. Many commercial toilets are tankless and rely on water pressure to operate, but I doubt that’s what’s being discussed here.

American toilets use to hve a great big bowl that would fill with water. Your bum would be a few centimetres from the water and your turd would float around in the pool of water.

Low flow tolietsare similar to Britsh toliets where a column inside the cistern is used to create greater pressure and flush the bowl.

Any idiot with a pair of pliers can take the flow regulator out of a consumer-grade shower head that you can buy off the shelf at any hardware store in the country and get as much water pressure as your pipes are capable of pumping into it.

Here’s hoping we all still have enough money to buy shower heads in the new Trump economy so we can enjoy the fruits of his labor. Who needs prosperity and economic stability when you have a roaring torrent of water to take a depression shower like a real American patriot?

As an additional layer of stupid, most of the “low pressure” seen in showers is due to water saver shower heads and have nothing to do with the pressure going to or in the home. So this literally proposing that the government regulates your water regulating shower heads.
