Just an FYI. This poster has absolutely no problem with Trump being re-elected.
I don’t care if Trump is elected as I am not afraid of him. I don’t like him, but I am not afraid of him. And I don’t think he has any chance of winning.
And I’m not voting for him.
And for the record, I have said that many times. So your screenshot is no “gotcha” since I have said it in several comments.
And I stand by what I said.
Also, for the record, if I DID want to vote for him, that would be my right. It’s not against the law to vote for Trump. He’s an idiot and I don’t know why people would want to vote for him, but it’s not against the law. So calm down.
Hey, genius, no one ever said it was illegal. Just shows how uninformed and, quite frankly, idiotic your stance is. If you don’t see Trump as a threat to democracy, the so-called thing you’re supposedly all about, and the one thing that’s allowing you to speak your mind about the idiotic things you “believe” then you’re just as bad as someone voting for him.

Good. So you can calm down. Almost half of the country is not voting for your candidate. Welcome to democracy.
I’m not scared of Trump. I don’t care how mad that makes you. You can be scared of him. That’s totally your right. I respect your rights, you can respect mine.
So you state an obvious lie to try to make a point. This is what the fuck everyone is pointing out. And I love how you disregard the rest of my comment. And quit saying to respect your rights what you’re stating is opinion and people are allowed to disagree with it. Seems this only works one way with you.
So you state an obvious lie to try to make a point.
What lie?
To cut through the nonsense and save everyone time, especially since many in this community have a habit of resorting to personal attacks when responding to my posts recently: I support and respect everyone’s right to vote for who they want to.
I’m just posting this article that’s already available on a much bigger platform than Lemmy—I didn’t write it, just sharing it for discussion.
I’m clarifying all of this due to past posters refusing to refrain from insults, as well as repeated baseless accusations that I’m a Republican, Russian, and/or that I’m not even an American citizen (sorry guys, I’m all American)
So I’d prefer we stick to discussing the article’s politics rather than focusing on me personally, if you’d like to engage with me. Now if you wanna just talk crap about me but not talk to me, then feel free. But I don’t really think that fits in with the spirit of this awesome community.
I’m not here to prove anything to you. I’ll keep posting content that fits the community’s guidelines, and if you feel otherwise, the mods are available. Thank you!
I’m not here to prove anything to you.
Yet you post essay long comments like this to totally prove you’re not weird. Ironic.
I don’t owe you any explanations, and my replies can be as detailed as I choose. Your attitude, and those who think like you, are exactly why I wrote the disclaimer in the first place. You’ve proven my point within seconds of me posting.
Please feel free to block me if my comments annoy you that much. Thank you! :)
Yet you’re still explaining yourself to us. Which no one ever asked for.

I don’t have to ask your permission to explain anything.

Continues to try to prove that he/she is not weird.

You just contradicted yourself.
What are you talking about? I don’t have to prove anything to you. I put a disclaimer so people would think before they attacked. (Which obviously hasn’t worked by the way.)
If you don’t like it, move on, friend.
when Trump won the presidency, one of his first actions was to block immigration specifically from Muslim countries. He has also stated that Israel needs to “finish the job” in Palestine.
Third parties, with no chance of winning or affecting policy, splitting support for Harris or creating doubt and apathy leading to even 1 percentage point of lower turnout among non-Trump voters would be pushing the US toward a more certain Trump win - an outcome that is surely worse for Palestinians.
Personally, I’m still voting third party. I will not vote for the corrupt duopoly. You can, and that is your right. But I won’t, as is my right.
You really don’t think it’s your personal vote that is the issue here? If you have decided how you will vote, and it is a personal matter only, why have you posted 75+ articles in 30 days making noise about fringe party candidates’ ballot access?

The same reason I have posted over 300 articles and comments about socialists in the same time frame. My post history: https://lemmy.world/u/UniversalMonk?page=1&sort=New&view=Posts
Funny how you always leave that out because it destroys your implication that I am a Trump voter. I’m not voting for Trump. As I have said many times. I’m also not voting for Harris. As I have said many times.
I think the articles are interesting. Nothing I am posting breaks the rules of this sub.
Do you think information about third parties should be withheld and censored?
Please block me if you are tired of my posts and/or comments. Thank you!
I have never implied you are a Trump voter, and I am not concerned about your personal voting behavior.
I think non-organic amplification of divisive content is a problem on many forums, and the intent and behavior of the poster does matter, not just whether a particular type of article follows the rules.

Yay! Then you haver no reason to be upset!

I didn’t write the articles. You need to adjust yourself to the fact that this is a political news community. Not just for politicians you are voting for. This is a politically diverse community.
I didn’t write the news. I didn’t create the news. I didn’t edit the news. I posted it. If you have a problem with the post, please contact the mods.
