Mullets are either a country hillbilly hairstyle or the ultimate androgynous hairstyle.
Reminds me of the “Shag” hairstyle from that period. Women had their own version of the mullet in the early 1970s. See Florence Henderson on the Brady Bunch and Jane Fonda in Klute.
