    There are only two actions that require a TV license:

    • Using BBC iPlayer for any reason
    • Watching live broadcast TV from any source

    YouTube does not have a broadcasting licence (granted by Ofcom) so YouTube live streams do not count as broadcast TV.

    At least I’m pretty sure that’s how that works
