    Can confirm “the limit is the limit” 🤷‍♂️ works WAY better than “because I said so.”

      It definitely does. Don’t use Apple products, but setting limits or bedtime alarms (on the switch) helps us all out. It cut down on the tantrums about stopping, it gives them the routine they need (we’re all on the ADHD spectrum in this house), and I set it up and it’s done (I have practically nil executive function).

      Is it perfect? No. But it works for us.

      Good job, don’t bother teaching your child to control their own impulses and addictions by instilling in them the understanding of why you have these limits, just tell them that some magical ethemeral rules dictates everything and it’s out of your control.

      That level of helplessness will benefit the future generation to put down their phones in classes or other necessary times.
