For the past 20 years I’ve been living in units and townhouses so didn’t have to worry about lawns. Moved into a house early this year and after mowing once decided we don’t want lawns.
We’ve replaced the front yard and verge with garden beds and plan on doing the back yard soon so we won’t have any grass at all.
The change not only means a lot less maintenance but the suburban wildlife seems to appreciate it with bees and birds visiting regularly.

We’ve just pulled up all of the grass in the front yard and replaced it with garden beds.
About to do the back yard.
No more mowing woooo!
Never did we consider fake grass, like really?
Apparently so with certain types of film.
Depending on the type of tinting, yeah it can cut quote a lot of heat coming in. You have to balance how much heat to cut vs how dark the tinting will be though.
We moved into a relatively new house in Jan, we didn’t think anything needed doing. We’ve found out terribly thermally inefficient. Since moving in we’ve installed roof heat extractor, ceiling insulation, garage door insulation and we’re thinking about getting the windows tinted before summer.
You can run MYOB in the cloud, you don’t need to run a desktop installation. Alternatively look at Zero which also ruins in the cloud.
