If anything that’s nonsense, iPhones are cheaper and easier to get repaired and far less to failure and I say this as someone who runs a store that sells phones.
Because the phones just fucking work
So I was one of those back in 06 and I’m in my mid to late 30s now.
I don’t use Facebook anymore and stopped using Facebook a decade ago because of all the timeline changes.
My guess is they’ve continued to make the timeline stuff worse and worse and that’s why people stop posting cause you don’t actually see each others posts half the time it’s filled with random suggested shit.
And that is exactly why I bought an M2 Air this year, price vs performance nothing beats the MacBooks at the moment.
AD Free YouTube is great tbh, it is generally a good experience no matter what device you use then throw in the claim it supports the content creators more seems like win win
Honestly I bought YouTube premium through a VPN to turkey for that price for the entire year. Seems worth it.
I don’t think the size difference works in the favour of lmg.
If gamers nexus puts out pretty much industry leading day one reviews out on every launch with 5-6 people and LMG with labs and 100+ employees can’t then there’s something wrong.
GN has a point LMG shits out videos without QC and it’s starting to bite them of late. The water block review is the perfect example of just being stupid. Why not just test the item with the right product and judge it for what it is as opposed to turning it into a joke review where no matter what the product is going to look bad.
The short circuit thing with the mouse is also a bit ridiculous.
But the charts are the main thing, I’ve noticed it myself over the years that lmg charts made no sense relative to gamers nexus or HUb or even jayz 2 cents which meant something was wrong with the testing.
Yeah Steve steve and Wendell would be an amazing trio, Gordon is also really good but he can be a bit rage heavy for me
I got mine on release day and I’m currently at 93% it does seem a bit much.
If you have a pi kicking around or a docker instance of pihole you can use it to take over dhcp of the router and then set the dns servers in pihole.
That’s what I do currently on my home hub
This does not keep my bookmarks and passwords synced across all the work devices I have to use does it?
I regularly log into 2 work email accounts and have a third that I check monthly. I do this across 5 work devices which are shared, my personal MacBook Air which is used primarily for work and my phone.
If Firefox has sync features that work with cloud storage as opposed to device storage it would be practical otherwise it’s no go
My work emails all run through the google suite of applications and I have two of them plus drive etc so having chrome allows me to have multiple profiles for each work account and they are remote managed by the company.
Tory government investing in nuclear energy?
Nah boris and his lot would rather get bungs from the local lads and keep us in the dark ages.
Labour aren’t exactly gonna do it either with Tory lite candidates atm. We are well and truly proper fucked.
That campaign they ran against Corbyn was truly something else, for fucks sake
The fact the BBC got away with that sums it up nicely, People say Corbyn was unelectable but honestly, he was insanely popular until the attacks started. Speaking to people in person in my life what I noticed is everyone started to say Corbyn was bad but they had no reason to give other than " He’s promised too much he can’t do what he says " or " I just don’t like him "
Clearly the establishment knew what he was going to cost them with state run Electric, Railways & dialing back on the private healthcare
I refused to buy Apple products for 15 years. Recently I grabbed a whole set of them and honestly, there’s only one thing I can say. It just fucking works.
I’ve been using Linux/Windows for the better part of two decades and I’m just at a point where I don’t care to tinker anymore unless I have to, I just wanna have stuff that works especially when it’s related to work stuff. Apple stuff is just reliable in that sense, oh my Android phone decided to crash on itself? Yeah my iPhone has had 0 crashes all year I’ve owned it. My M2 Macbook Air has superior battery life and portability at a more reasonable price than pretty much any competitor on the market?
Yes certain Apple things are beyond stupid expensive, Hello Apple TV 4K 128gb being £180 on launch?
But when I want something to work and not have to think about it, the apple stuff fits that need.
What would you describe as large?
The company I work for is a multinational at this point and exclusively uses Google for Mail/Docs. We have I think 600 stores now across 12 countries.
I had an Aya Neo 2 at work the other day so here’s my brief take on it from an experience perspective.
All the other hand held PC’s that aren’t the steamdeck are just that, hand held PC’s. When you reset or reinstall windows you have no drivers have to plug in a keyboard and mouse to get a driver package of about 19 different things before it’s usable then you need to install Aya Neo Space and have that auto launch at startup so that you somewhat get a hand held console experience.
The deck by contrast is just a single recovery image that is good to go and just works.
So I’d say if you want something that just works well buy a steamdeck while it may have less games than the others it truly is a pick up and play experience, if you want to tinker look into the others however I’d suggest you avoid the Ally due to the melting SD card issue for now.
It’s the quality of service that they offer, I don’t mind paying £60-70 a month for all my tv/movies but when the services don’t even work well, have terrible experiences and constant caveats to using them it’s just not worth it. Go spend the money on a self-hosted solution for a better experience and be done with it. It’s not exactly cheaper either it’s just less of a headache.
They do not work as well no, take for example if I buy an android phone + a Samsung watch + Sony headphones and run them together you know what happened last time. The Samsung watch broke the Sony headphones touch controls because of the apps not integrating properly.
That’s the kind of it just works apple phones don’t deal with, I work with phones daily and the amount of people I see return android phones compared to iPhones is not even funny
