  • The first 25 years of my life were a mess. Going through the wrong puberty not knowing why everything felt so bad, becoming an alcoholic, moving every year sometimes twice in a year. I’m early 30s now, making good progress transitioning, quit drinking, staying in shape, down to moving about every other year. This is so far way better than my teenage years or 20s

  • Nothing about this comment is accurate. Maybe where you’re at doesn’t get above 100f currently, but it can absolutely go above 100f in other areas. As for the humidity, the higher that is the worse people are at regulating temp because sweating stops doing anything. High enough humidity and the temp doesn’t even need to hit 100f to kill people readily. The best place to handle high heat is somewhere dry and windy because you can keep chugging water and sweating buckets to maximize evaporative cooling

  • I don’t understand people who are against caring for axies in captivity. They’re going to be gone soon they only live in one lake in Mexico that’s getting built over. At this point it is either total extinction or captivity that ship has sailed. They’re also a really good teaching moment about conservation. When people see my axies I’ll usually tell them about the situation they’re in and people look so hurt that we’d ruin their habitat like that. Most extinct animals you only hear about. These little critters are common enough you can show them to people and really get the point across what we’ve lost

  • Hello I work for Unity (for now lol, we’ll see)! I’d like to just say from my end of things we do actually do a solid amount of R&D. Just that a depressing amount of it either never sees the light of day, takes so long to release it has already been done better by someone else, or is unannounced with little to no documentation on release so it never gets visibility. The other thing to note is that Unity does a lot of non-game things that might not be that noticeable if you’re just looking at it from a game making perspective, like our publicly known contracts we have to help train the military to “totally not kill people you guys”!
