I have yet to encounter a place that will refuse to take my cash if I tell them I have no other method of payment. They may not be eager to, but they can’t stop you from leaving.
Nobody’s refusing payments in cash. The articles you’re linking were during covid, an entirely different context

2·16 days agoI said EU, not UK. But it turns out they ARE licensed in the UK as well.
Revolut should be watching for suspicious transactions and blocking them like proper banks are required to do.
There’s nothing in the article to indicate this isn’t already the case. No suspicious activity algorithm will be foolproof. Also, revolut is certified as an actual bank in the EU, and subject to the standard bank regulations.
All I’m reading in this article is stupid people who don’t follow basic security practices. Why is any of this Revolut’s fault?

Again, I point you towards video games and how they got blamed for violence. You could have used the same statement about them 20 years ago.
The biggest danger with allowing people to do whatever they want to a sex bot is that it has the possibility to encourage dangerous behavior in some people to the point where they are comfortable doing it to a real person.
This tired old argument gets trotted out with every new technology and hobby. D&D, Video games, VR, etc etc.

That’s a myth. The current global population growth rate is dropping precipitously and is expected to hit negative rates within this century. The fertility rate per woman is at 2.3, from a peak of 5.3 in the 60s. That’s barely above replacement level. At current trends we’ll be at replacement level in a couple decades.

By what definition of the word? Most dictionaries define it as some variant of ‘the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills.’

3·29 days agoHow is it fanciful? It’s taking a bunch of solid, proven technologies and putting them in the same place. It’s nothing more than a standard engineering project.

Was mostly referring to restaurants and other services. But in general, no I have yet to experience any place flat out rejecting my business if I pay in cash. I’m not sure what’s with the downvotes, I’m merely sharing my personal experiences.
