It did finally click for me, but it took well over a year. Someone told me to play for a couple weeks with no goals, and that finally made it happen. I didn’t put it down for another hundred hours.

My old Amazon order says Vivefox, but they don’t seem to be for sale anymore. I’m pretty sure at the time there were a bunch of companies offering the same ones, like a Chinese dropship kind of thing.
I lost four sets of Joycon to drift. I even sent two in to be “repaired”. Talking to support was worthless - I’m convinced that the people I spoke to had never seen or used a Switch before. I don’t think they did anything other than calibrate them and send them back. I ended up buying a 20 pair of knockoff Joycon that have worked perfectly ever since.
I like the concept. I actually actively avoid gaming forums as much as I can because they seem to all become one of two things: either completely overrun by people who hate the game and can’t shut up about it, even though they don’t play it anymore, or completely overrun by people who claim to hate the game and can’t shut up about how much they hate it, even though they have thousands of hours in it and play it like it’s a full time job.
Tiktok doesn’t have shorts from all my favorite channels though. Shorts is obviously supposed be YouTube’s “answer” to Tiktok, but it’s a different vibe, IMHO. I’ve tried to get into Tiktok and it just doesn’t do it for me.
IMHO, I think they just need to add a toggle for shorts so that people can opt out (or in, whichever).
I enjoy YouTube Shorts a great deal. It could definitely be easier to curate your feed than it is, but I have a great deal of intractable pain at all times, and I like the fluffy format. It’s easy to digest and understand and move on to the next one when my attention span is completely destroyed by the constant intense pain. Sometimes it’s the only thing that gets me through the day.
Oh no. The leopards are eating their face. Someone do something. Help.
I hear you, but It sounds like we’re nearly on the same page. Twitter is so full of useless garbage that I deleted my account, while you made an effort to completely curate your feed for a niche purpose, allowing only two kinds of content to get through.
Regardless, I don’t care to support Elon Musk’s efforts to turn the “internet town square” into a safe haven for wannabe nazis and homophobes. It’s becoming a playground for chuds and bullies, and now you can’t even block your abusers if you have them? No thank you, I’m full. I’d rather get my porn on Xhamster and my memes on Lemmy. I up voted you though because I appreciate the perspective and conversation.
Maybe stick to pillows, Mike.
Very true, plus I very much miss seeing manufacturers put their foot out there with hardware configurations. Naturally there were plenty of flop products like the LG Wing with it’s marginally useful T shape, but examples like the HTC Surround with extensible surround sound speakers was really cool. Today’s phone companies won’t even consider those kind of attempts at producing something different than a rectangular glass slab.
I specified the people I know. The only time Twitter comes up in any context is when they’re pissed off about something they saw on Twitter. For me personally, there’s no “content” on Twitter that I can’t get somewhere else without the added helpings of toxic racism, homophobia, misinformation and bullying. I have no use for it.
What a trash service. I literally don’t know anyone who wouldn’t be net happier in life if they just deleted Twitter.
YES!!! I miss my Motorola Hint and my HTC Surround! The Xperia play, the Lumia 1020 even. All phones look the same now and they all do the same things. All you really pay for these days is a little more speed and a few more pixels but they’re 4 times the cost.
Maybe stop charging twelve hundred dollars for a fucking phone.
Thanks!
Will you still be able to download 360 games via the Xbox One?

The Palm Pre was so fun. I bought a pre+ for 20 dollars towards the end.
Into the Dead?
