Not being able to drive is one thing but maybe there are food delivery services, Uber/Lyft/Taxis and other non medical transportation, and for medical emergencies Life Alert, Ambulances.

I went without Prime for >1 year. I just online shopped directly from manufacturer if I can and paid shipping if free shipping not available. I minimized use of amazon only if I had $35 in my cart for the free shipping.

I honestly would encourage everyone not to have Prime though. Its like what $150+ now for a year? Save that money and wait until your cart is $35. If you cannot wait, you can pay for shipping (assuming $7) x20+ times before you make up price of that $150 for Prime.

I think the larger point is that teachers are having to pay for their own supplies as well which are necessary like books, art supplies for younger populations, paper, writing utensils, etc. Its a well known fact that unfortunately teachers have to do this as some schools are not providing these materials/supplies.

I know a few people at work that have foldables. Both are not going back and the crease really isnt noticeable.

One guy has the Google Pixel Fold. His kids share his phone to leave his wife’s phone alone when they are watching something. It makes it easier to share with his kids because its a larger screen. When it was smaller they fought more because they couldn’t all watch on a small screen. Hes reaping benefits too. Ive seen him have it open to watch NFL highlights lol.

I just provided services to a guy the other day with a huge swastika tattooed on chest. For your first question, we know and if not directly told, sometimes we have high suspicions. I employ social workers who directly ask what their social situation is (housed, finances, etc) and for any uninsured we ask if they would like Medicaid. More often than not they disclose (CA is a lot friendlier than TX) and we document it and find the appropriate resources for them. If they dont tell us, we dont document our suspicions (because we cannot objectively confirm) but we can def tell. They tend to speak another language only, be very guarded with their questions, etc. We often have Chinese and Hispanic individuals undocumented. We connect them to MediCal, PRUCOL, and treat them like anyone else, providing them as much support and resources as possible.

Hospitals give a fuck. Its like the only privacy law that is enforced and enforced well. Fines are high and people lose jobs over HIPAA violations.

Texas can tell them to violate it but doubtful they would be successful unless they are willing to foot $$$ on behalf of the hospital. Also, likely goes against hospital mission, values, etc.
