The issue is that you can’t search a ton of servers at once unless you index all their posts. To get a proper search engine someone would not only have to spend the time to code it but also the money to host that beast! :/

2. No that’s just wrong, the global supply of usable Uranium couldn’t even supply the current world energy consumption for more than a few years
3. All of that isn’t wrong except that the concret isn’t actually proper storage, it’s desinged to hold the material for a few decates and the proper storage solutions (stuff it’s supposed to bind to long term in old mines) is in a pure theory stage and hasn’t been done before
4. The initial costs are high but a joke in comparison with disposal and deconstruction costs so they aren’t the actual issue in the cost factor and unlike the later actually funded by the company operating a plant

What I mean with “universal login” is one account for multiple Fediverse services, I guess that wasn’t clear from my post. Yea, proper migration is hard and questionable if we should even allow it (could cause all kinds of issues, espwcially regarding account security) but Mastodon allows you to move your followers and add a redirect which is the most important part of the account and Lemmy should probably try to do something similar with ranks and communities.
