I think that’s incorrect. Not against the honey, but the reasoning. I think it can harbor anaerobic bacteria which the child’s immune system is not ready to handle.

I once made an app for Samsung watches for disc golf scorekeeping. It could accept any number of players, apply a handicap throughout the game so you could know exactly how you were doing vs your opponent with different handicaps on every hole, and gave a nice scorecard at the end to view. It was $0.99

Someone complained that I made them “throw away their money down the drain” since it didn’t also have gps to tell them how far they were from the hole.

Floridian here. Even from the fridge with the extra filter it tastes a little bit bad. I’m used to it, but when I visit out of state the water tastes “fresh” or “crisp”. My brother who came to visit said my tap water tastes “slimy”. It’s not algae or anything just Florida water universally sucks in some manner.

Depends on how long it’s been. It was thought the series you got as a child was sufficient, but some people lose their immunity in the ensuing decades. Older people are sometimes getting another dose of their titers are low, but I don’t know the process to get those levels drawn.

They are still in the prototype stage. If they can prove the physics on small planes, they can scale up for commercial ones.

For some reason I was remembering my brother spending like $700 for his original iPhone, whereas I waited for the iPhone 3g and spent like half. Mine was plasticky vs his solid feeling phone, but mine technically did more with the 3g network and even a compass! I was hoping this scenario would happen but maybe it’s wishful thinking and incorrect memory.

The first iPhone was unreasonably expensive for really not much usability. Edge network only. No webapps designed yet. No app store. Not even a compass.

The first one of these will be like that, then if it catches on at all there will be a “worse” model that doesn’t have as nice of a casing but is more usable and maybe comes with some sort of phone plan or something. I’m hoping this actually does catch on because VR is already so cool, but is waiting for that “connection” with others to happen.

For an example, the best connection experience I have had in VR was the zero gravity sports game Echo Arena, specifically in the lobby. They did such a good job with the 3d sound it actually felt like there was someone above me talking. But since there is no eye tracking, eye contact cannot be a thing. If they nail that though, work meetings in a virtual environment COULD be a thing. Spending time with family from hundreds of miles away COULD possibly work okay. Not as good as in person but a reasonable substitute.

But they have to nail it. Right now that one or two experiences is the best I have had. The rest just felt like halo on the Xbox 360 over Live. Cool, but not like they were sitting in the room with me.

Change takes time. Encourage more acceptance rather than being angry a small step in the right direction is too small. This would actually be a rather large step if they move forward on this!

This is such a touchy subject I find it difficult to articulate what society actually needs. We need a system where PEDOPHILES are able to receive the mental health they need before they become MOLESTERS.

But any time you say something about helping someone who is attracted to children the knee jerk reaction is always like “kill them. What you don’t want them dead? Are YOU a pedophile?” And I end up unable to convince them that helping them to not molest children by treating their mental health condition will actually help children not be molested. I really feel like this reactionary public opinion is causing people to go underground and is actually causing more children to be harmed.

They could fix this very quickly with a government mandated one year off for both parents having a kid. Then with government subsidy for childcare/limits on childcare pricing.

I think a very large number of people would sign up for a paid year off, especially if they were confident the kids would not bankrupt them in the following years.

As a business? Probably not worth that valuation. As a propaganda machine to be able to influence a decent percentage of the population? I think it was.

Can you describe that? I feel like everyone says that about Canada, Europe, etc. But when I try to nail down what they are afraid of, they are like, “if I need a knee surgery I want it NOW! That could take months in Canada!”

Fsd makes a TON of mistakes. I’ve had the beta from the first public release. I don’t trust it to do anything more than lane holding and cruise control, with maybe some supervised lane changes. But it’s a beta. I understand that I am helping to test beta software.

FSD in its current form should not be given to everyone. Tesla had it right when they gave it only to proven drivers (okay, it would have been better to test with paid employees, but I digress).

FSD right now is like handing the keys to your 15 year old child and going to sleep in the back while they drive you home.

What’s the visa process like for Norway? Do you have to have a job sponsoring your visa, or can you just prove work from home income?

I have been getting surveys asking my opinion on ai as a healthcare practitioner (pharmacist). I feel like they are testing the waters.

AI is really dangerous for healthcare right now. I’m sure people are using it to ask regular questions they normally Google. I’m sure administrators are trying to see how they can use it to “take the pressure off” their employees (then fire some employees to “tighten the belt”).

If they can figure out how to fact check the AI results, maybe my opinion can change, but as long as AI can convincingly lie and not even know it’s lying, it’s a super dangerous tool.
