Megan MacKenzie, the more junior author (at the time a senior lecturer), received calls threatening her with consequences for her career.

Why only mention the more junior author? Did the senior authors not get targeted? Did they receive different threats? There’s definitely an implication here and I’d rather not assume… :/

And how “funny” - when “outed” (and were they?) for being biased, the reaction was to be an absolute turd? Ugh.

  • And that’s only if your area has actual regulations on what free range even means.

    For reference, here in Australia:

Under the law, eggs labelled as ‘free range’ must come from hens that are able to roam and forage outdoors for at least eight hours each day. The maximum outdoor stocking density for free range egg farming is 10,000 hens per hectare of land or one hen per square metre.

That is awful! I buy a brand that has 40 per hectare, they have portable sheds that gets rotated across the property, and the hens get guard dogs to protect them as they roam.

  • When you say you printed IEMs and ear protection, are you able to elaborate?

In my case I’ve only just gotten into FDM, and I’m having a lot more fun with it than my resin printer, but I might have made enough things for the resin printer that might make that a lot less of a chore.

So far, the FDM has been handy with quite a few functional prints around the house (certainly not yet enough that I can say it’s cheaper than just buying the items outright, but we’re getting close!), and that’s been an enjoyable process.
