There’s a lot of gay men who don’t even consider that these laws will apply to them. It doesn’t help that a lot of people will say “oh those laws only apply to locals, they won’t enforce them on international people”.

Oh yes I do vote for hope. Sadly I’m in a very blue/teal area, and the constituents openly mock the very idea of voting for Labor let alone the Greens (they get very offended if you even ask if they did, like one who was complaining about [policy they wish existed but only the Greens had campaigned on]).
Yeah, I gotta get that DNR stuff set up.
My risk analysis prior was that it wasn’t worth it. That has since changed.
Retirement plan for me is dead by 60, because climate change will have made living an absolute misery.
This is why I now have a motorcycle.
Used to be able to get $1 cheeseburgers. The loose change menu was a huge thing here, you could actually wander in with some coins and walk out with some food.
At $1 a burger, in less than 3 minutes, that’s way cheaper, “tastier” (subjective), faster, and no cleaning up, than having a pot of lentil curry.
A chick got pulled for Subway: https://www.smh.com.au/traveller/inspiration/forgotten-subway-sandwich-costs-australian-traveller-jessical-lee-2664-on-arrival-home-20220721-h2576l.html
So it’s not surprising to me for being hauled up over a lunch… I’m likely biased as Australia and NZ have long been very strict about biosecurity.
What does seem strange to me is that in Australia, if I bring in something they don’t like, they turf it and let me through?? No fine or anything. Admittedly I go through the “Declare” line, and am open about what I’m unsure about.
People downvoting don’t realise this has happenned in some countries: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ninoy_Aquino_International_Airport_bullet_planting_scandal#:~:text=The Ninoy Aquino International Airport,Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA)
Small thing?
Well aren’t we fucked. Guess we’re just even more fucked, and faster.
Best hope I do die before 60, it’s going to be fucking miserable by then.
Kaos, according to Pratchett.

There was some other study done way earlier which compared ethnic first and last, western first and ethnic last, and western first and last.
The results are as you can expect…
Technically abortion isn’t actually legal in Australia. Technically. And in some places nearly impossible without driving a real long way.
From what I’ve heard, plenty of black folks are mad about white people with dreadlocks because black people have been penalised for having locs for so long and along comes the dominant culture saying “actually that’s cool and we’re gonna make it cool, but you still look like shit”.
Same with the fox eye trend that non Asians did for a bit, when Asian kids were forever bullied for having eyes like that.
Cultural sharing? Excellent. Cultural appropriation where one culture is plundered for anything of value and that culture is also denied acceptance for having those same characteristics? Not so good.
Not very kid friendly though.
Which headsets have you tried?
From my understanding , it wasn’t past the second pair, it was to reactivate deactivated teeth.
As in, they artificially induced a way to stop a tooth forming (which can occur naturally in humans), and then reactivated it. Useful for folks who suffer from agenesis in the first place.
Seems she has time now. Perhaps her social calendar opened up?
The pink carbo one isn’t bad. Definitely has other flavours in there, not just spicy. That said, I also don’t add the entire sachet of hot sauce…
