The purpose is to prosecute him for the crime he has been charged with. That charge is Involuntary manslaughter, which explicitly means he was negligent in a way that lead to the death of another person. The purpose of having him(or literally anyone) stand trial in the American justice system is (supposed) to examine the evidence and determine if it supports the charges against the (presumed innocent) defendant. You don’t get let off the hook for your mistakes just because you ‘feel absolutely terrible’ about it. Your understanding of fault in this situation is incorrect.

2·2 months agoAlso I would argue sending the actual video of what is happening in front of the camera is kind of the entire point of having a video call. I don’t see any utility in having a simulated face to face interaction where neither of you is even looking at an actual image of the other person.

The infuriating thing are the ‘do you want to switch back to old terms?’ messages. Like are you fucking serious what the fuck even is the point of that what the fuck are you even doing with these ‘new’ apps if you’re going to use the same pop ups in both directions basically.
I think other than practicing your enunciation to be extra clear for the most important commands as well as devising easily parsable command phrases is about as good as you’re going to get. It seems to me Voice Control is an OS level feature and as such apple’s not going to allow you to do any tinkering. The ability to create your own phrases for commands should let you create command phases that can be said very clearly but not necessarily directly correlate to the action you’re trying to perform. I’d also imagine it’s using similar technogy to Siri so if you haven’t taught it your voice through the ‘hey siri’ menu it might be worth a try.
It might be useful to have some examples of what kinds of commands you’re trying to issue and having fail?

Hotels/inns/taverns having dedicated security is pretty universal since like always? I’m not defending what happened here in any way, but balking at the idea security guards in general feels almost hilariously naive.
