A lot of Canadians applying for Indian visas are Indian ex-pats.
This will likely piss off more Indians than Canadians

I find AirBnB to be cheaper when renting an entire house vs 3 or 4 hotel rooms. But an apartment vs a hotel room is even or the hotel is cheaper
Muslims could stop Quran burning by just not reacting to the obvious acts of incitement
These are activities that only exist for the sake of the participants and are not financially self-sufficient
They may be super intense hobbies, but if they aren’t jobs or charitable services, they are still hobbies
I don’t see bitterness in the comments, just the realization that the general population doesn’t see value in subsidizing elite athletics
Who is responsible for providing for people who choose not to contribute?
I’m not working away all day when I could be persuing a hobby and still getting paid just so someone else can persue a hobby and get paid
I think his analogy is accidentally spot on. ICE cars are going to be around for a while
Not that I’m advocating a return to Reddit, but Relay still works
Or just don’t buy a luxury car
The economics are compelling, but the cost of ownership for someone like me would also have to factor in the extra interest paid on a loan at least $20K more than a comparably-sized ICE car
Tesla does a lot of things right - their cars are amongst the fastest around and their charging network is superior to any others to date
But their build quality is poor and their autonomous driving features are overstated compared to what they can deliver
Plus their service support is limited due to their direct sell model - there aren’t many places to get Tesla’s repaired
Tesla did make EVs mainstream though. Consider that their cars outsell popular ICE cars even though the Tesla’s cost 50%+ more
So, it’s a mixed bag with a lot of their customers, and some outsiders, absolutely fanatical about them, some people hating them by proxy because of Musk, and some people 50/50 on them like any car brand
Well they started taking down the Twitter sign at HQ, so it’s happening
These people are addicted to such a degree that they’re functionally on the same level as literal junkies, just without the physical damage. Social media was such a fucking mistake,
He’s a douchebag and takes too much credit for the engineering that has made them successfull, but SpaceX has delivered some next-level rockets and Tesla has been very successful creating a new market niche and selling a ton of cars
Check out the app or webpage, they’ve already put in the temp X logo
Just had a Marketing colleague try to make the case for a SaaS solution telling us the justification was clearly articulated in our company-specific deck he created
Reading the deck and then checking the revision history, it’s clear that buddy just pasted in the vendor’s brochure ware
Some parts of the business have no place in actually selecting tech
Once we have nations fighting for water resources (tied directly to food production) it wouldn’t take long before the entire population is at risk
Ontario’s great lakes have been threatened with receding volume, pollution, and mass algae blooms that show how fragile even that massive resource is
Ground water across the globe has been mass polluted and drained to nothing in large areas.
We are a lot more vulnerable than it seems
Innovation and investment is the way to go.
In a lot of countries the electrical supply is unreliable, going down regularly
Innovate to create full-scale renewable grids (best if they can run decentralised when necessary) and invest in implementing these solutions world-wide
Use incentives, like trade agreements for countries, regions, or companies that implement the green tech to make it worthwhile
That is way too small a car to be in when an elephant decides to go ham on your ride
