Holy shit this is badass.
I never played Hi-Fi rush, Redfall, Mighty Doom, or The Evil Within. That said it looks like Tango hit their sales and quality strides. Alpha Dog and their Mighty Doom shit-ware deserves the dust bin and closure.
As cold and callous as this all sounds, I read about the Redfall development and it was leadership start to finish on that disaster. The employees, even at Alpha Dog, don’t deserve this treatment. Dinga Bakaba from Arkane Lyon stated it perfectly
Don’t throw us into gold fever gambits, don’t use us as strawmen for miscalculations/blind spots, don’t make our work environments darwinist jungles. You say we make you proud when we make a good game. Make us proud when times are tough. We know you can, we seen it before.
Fuck me, this part hurts the most, and I highly recommend anyone who didn’t read the article at least look at what was said here. Everyone knows damn well that the corporation has the ability to flourish in keeping all the talented workers who got fucked by shitty leadership, instead the leadership will fail upward and keep ruining projects. Companies have so many chances to really disrupt and show the world a better way and they continually take shallow short sighted routes to cheap monetary victory, discarding humanity along the way. Fuck companies.
If that’s true, then aren’t they victims of the lottery of birth who deserve our compassion and pity?
Did I say they don’t deserve compassion or pity? Deserving of it they may be, that alone might be even more insulting to them than what I said. One thing that didn’t change from Soviet era is that everyone must follow the political platform with a figurative gun to their head. It’s ok to say that the Russian invasion is wrong, and the US’s missiles and tanks will be blasting servicemen to bits who do not deserve to be blown to bits, but they will be violently killed, as it is a war.
Asking them nicely to stop invading isn’t going to work.
Cry harder that the Soviet Union collapsed and left the majority of Russian males a bunch of hopeless drunks obeying a piece of shit dictator like Putin. Cry harder that Ukraine resisted an unwarranted invasion based on fear of Russia’s continually waning power. Cry harder that Wagner almost kicked Putin’s ass and caused the Kremlin to have to backtrack.
When I say “fuck Russian scum”, there are plenty of good hearted Russians, but the scum, fuck them. Putin is scum, btw, a piece of shit goat-fucking wannabe BITCH.
Fuck Russian scum, I hope the US missiles and tanks fuckin hurt. Putin is a goatfucker too.
Underrated comment honestly. That’s nailed on the head, greed drove billions in investments to compete for whales and now it looks like a wasteland…compounded by the fact that the whales were always unsustainable users in the first place. Sometimes rich people were whales but the majority of the time they were users who didn’t have a pot to piss in, in the first place.
Ummm, so do most other games???
iOS lookin more like Android with each release.
I don’t really care, nor do many. The hollowed out middle class would just like it if we built shit here, even if the factories were automated. Shit products coming from a shit country, at the behest of our shit business leaders and shit politicians. America’s hegemony has been over for quite some time. We’re just a paper tiger anymore with a leftover military from a bygone era. We have more aircraft carriers than the rest of the world combined, and no will to do anything constructive with the defense budget.
Well said, that’s what we call canard advice. Unhelpful advice that’s obvious to everyone and does no fucking good to say whatsoever. You can cook more when your primary financial needs are met, so you can just work 40 hours in a week. That and the RTO mandates going around are robbing people of a significant chunk of time yet again ontop of overemployment. When you have to work a 10 hour day and commute an hour plus each direction, then come home and “cook” something, it usually translates to heating up frozen shit and then wishing you weren’t miserable.
Been there and done that, fuck hustle culture.
After the story of the blue LED, it just makes me wonder who will find this solution, and my bet is not with conventional thinking based and/or investor driven corporations. In our current industrial and corporate environment, most likely it’s going to be a smaller organization with more radical thinking and forgiving financial metrics that allows exploration in a true R&D based sense.
For those who will be leaving SIE: You are leaving this company with our deepest respect and appreciation for all your efforts during your tenure.
Now get the fuck outta here, you’re fired.
Do you want to wash wang, or watch Wang, wash wang?
I actually performed CPR during an industrial accident. A contractor was welding at a large power plant, and someone sabotaged the acetylene bottles by opening the valves on 3 cylinders, then torquing the cap on with a pipe wrench. 3 people collapsed from asphyxiation and their entry attendant sounded an alarm, they were pulled out by a few people with SCBA’s we kept close by due to confined space entry rules. That right there was the life saver, we drug them out, administered CPR, broke the fuck out of their ribs and they started breathing again.
It was a very lucky scenario for the survivors as they collapsed and received CPR in about 120 seconds.
Satoru Iwata said they don’t do layoffs, he even took pay cuts to attempt to balance their budgets and keep people on…then he died in 2015. Now Nintendo’s credibility is in the toilet with the rest. The mistake you’re making is trusting a company with shareholders, you really need to learn how this works…executives of publicly traded companies=fucking liars.
Yeah, and it went something like “Hay, I am TEH KING” Ghost dudes be like “lolwut? Fuq, die bitch” Aragorn blocks attack with Anduril “Oh shit, lmao, sorry, we gotchu bruh”
THEN he was teh kang.
Also, you really can’t trust anything that comes out of Phil Spencer’s mouth.
That’s really not a Phil Spencer thing, and more of a “You can tell any executive is lying, because their lips are moving” thing.
