It is Patton by proxy - “The object of war is not to die for your country, but to make the other bastard to die for his.” Except instead of “the other bastard” being an enemy, it’s your allies.

I’d assume the surgeons wanted to spare her from having to undergo sedation and surgery again at a later point in time, just to get her consent.
That is still performing the procedure without her consent. Are you really that dense? Or are you one of those types who believes that “no” doesn’t always mean “no” or that if someone doesn’t say “no” that means they automatically consent?
Yeah, all that you described? That’s what a union does. points at WGA They did it against some of the biggest multimedia companies. The only people who are going to fix the gaming industry are the workers and that takes a union.
You know that their time’s coming to an end
Wow. Queen of Wands, I don’t think I’ve looked at that for over a decade…
Then you get Texas. We’ve got a law that just went into effect that basically takes away huge swaths of law making powers from the cities. They have made no attempt to hide that it was entirely for the benefit of businesses at the expense of locals and their desires.
While I am very pro-minimum wage, it does need to be more regionally based than nationally. The minimum required to get by in LA, New York, and so forth is going to be different than some podunk middle of no where towns in rural America.

SAG-AFTRA stated
“After five rounds of bargaining, it has become abundantly clear that the video game companies aren’t willing to meaningfully engage on the critical issues: compensation undercut by inflation, unregulated use of AI and safety,” said Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, SAG-AFTRA national executive director and chief negotiator, in a statement. “I remain hopeful that we will be able to reach an agreement that meets members’ needs, but our members are done being exploited, and if these corporations aren’t willing to offer a fair deal, our next stop will be the picket lines.”
The signatory companies stated
“We will continue to negotiate in good faith to reach an agreement that reflects the important contributions of SAG-AFTRA-represented performers in video games. We have reached tentative agreements on over half of the proposals and are optimistic we can find a resolution at the bargaining table.”
Like games that came out three years before!
While I cannot read the article, the abstract does not describe an issue of microplastics transferring from the sous vide container to the fish, rather the effect of the high temps over longer time on the microplastics already present in the fish.
If it isn’t cheaper than palm oil, it won’t replace it. The reason palm oil is used is because it’s cheap, not because of any inherent properties.
After the decades of one child sexual abuse case after the other coming out and time and again finding out higher ups in the church knew about this but just kept hiding it, are we really at all surprised? That level of corruption originates from the top down, not bottom up.
The idea of a life after death where an idyllic eternal life can be simply purchased with belief demeans and devalues this life. You will never convince me that someone believing such things would be more moral and ethical than someone who believes that this life is all we get. I would argue that such belief is a cornerstone to a lack of ethics and morals because it implies nothing in this life really matters.
But are they hiring the right modders?
They owe them quite a lot…
The average Republican voters doesn’t care what the facts are.
