I bought a property for my son to live in. I figure, I can pay for a modest condo now or he can buy it after I die. And #2 means paying rent for 20 years or so.

In golf, you want to score less.
I’m sure they meant “wreck the economy”.
Nice. There’s never a line so it’s not a big deal. And it’s not like you can choose anyways (election day)
I can’t cancel my parents out because they’re dead. But they actually got more liberal as they got older and they would have canceled my sister’s Wisconsin trump vote.
I’m pretty sure the Haitans in the photo are not voting. I’ve never gotten gas station quality hot food when I’ve voted.
Depends a lot on how strong their union is.
I doubt the current supreme court will do anything even though in 2000 that decision helped the republican. They’ll find a reason to flip.
That’s what they do except for the opt in part.
It works well on freeways. I still don’t use it much on city streets except for the occasional shits and giggles. It has issues on non-divided highways and refuses to drive at my set speed limit.
Yeah and I think they collapsed into president’s day to avoid adding a day for Kennedy.
A job I had for a couple of years had really annoying emails sent based on badging in/out. When I’d come back from voting I’d get one for some out of office violation and would just reply to HR with a link to the MN statute requiring paid time off for voting:
https://www.sos.state.mn.us/elections-voting/election-day-voting/time-off-work-to-vote/
Because originally the holiday just celebrated the first US president, George Washington and then they consolidated into Presidents Day so they didn’t have plethora of Dead President Birthday holidays.
Depends on the state. In MN state law allows you take as much time as necessary to go vote with pay. I can’t remember when this was passed but I’m going to “Thanks Walz” anyways.
We don’t get the day off to vote in MN but you are legally allowed to take time off to go vote (with pay). So when I was in the office, I always voted in the middle of the day right after my lunch hour.
I had a job for a few years with no MLK and no President’s day. That stretch from New Years to Memorial Day was very, very long.
Whichever one was second chose a poor name.
I think he’s the youtube guy that consumes dubious food/beverage.
The great lakes are stunning.
You’d think they’d be looking at their neighbor to the north and think “why can’t we do that?”
