Agree. ALWAYS check labels to make an informed choice (choice itself is yours of course). The apps to scan that I have tried were quite spotty too. I feel like I am better off reading labels myself.

Roblaws will for sure. They are greedy bastards with no spine.
London Drugs, however, seems very honest and they are showing what’s Canadian on their homepage. Even have a filter! With almost 1200 items that are Canadian already and they are interested in hearing what people would like to see on their shelves! One can email suggestions to ldonline@londondrugs.com
Especially since they are lying!! Their PC and NoName are not necessarily Canadian! Most seem to not even show where they are produced! Roblaws has not change so I won’t shop there.
They are very stable, very little to no outages. The pricing is fair and their customer service is top notch. Responsibe, fast and knowledgeable. They even help you set everything up if you aren’t unsure.
Namespro.ca is great!!
I can’t believe there are no (significant) protest. They just sit there and whine.
We only got them gifted a few times but it wouldn’t surprise me. Nice treat though. Never had better mint filled choc.
If German is ok then definitely Haribo. Best Gummibears in the world! For chocolate (and if you like mint) these are the best I have ever had and they are from Winnipeg: https://www.mordenschocolate.com/
Actually not that bad. I went to Europe for a wedding and they lost my luggage for 8 out of the 10 days. I raked up a conservative 700 Euros for make up, dress and shoes. It’s pricey there and I didn’t even get close to high end!
Me three! We buy all our meat from local farms. And veg in summer and we grow our own. I am also increasing what we grow on fruit
It’s like a new hobby!
Oh what company is that?
Well, I hope that pushes Canadians even more to double down on avoiding US products. He didn’t even stick with the 30 days delay in tariffs. Are there still people thinking he might not go ahead with them?! Let’s drop them like a hot potato!
As I said on Mastodon: too fucking little too fucking late.
I was impressed that they have them in February. It’s pretty cold an early in the season for bell peppers. Tomatoes grow like weeds but bell peppers are slower. Mexico works as well. I shop Canada first and then almost anything but US second. For example I don’t like garlic from China.
London Drugs is excellent! They even have an online filter for Canadian products.
Excellent grocery shopping today. We didn’t buy anything US (we think). The red cabbage didn’t have any country listed and we assumed it’s Mexican since the green ones were. We didn’t have to switch lots but for some products we bought alternatives: taco shells, granola bars, salsa. We also found some Canadian stuff sold out or almost: ketchup, cereal (we picked a different Canadian one). It’s fun to try new stuff! Also really excited about tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, lettuce and basil from Alberta! This is very early in the year for us to get local produce!
Yes! Cheese! Chocolate! Gummibears!!
Let’s do it. Canada has to come first. “Real thing” or not we need to have our destiny in our own hands. Let’s supply as much as we can within Canada and the partner with friendly countries. We have great products there is a market!
I have seen some as well. Same with the apps that scan.
