It’s a scenario that Neal Stephenson covers in his book “Fall; or, Dodge in Hell”. Interesting read, although it’s one of my least favorite books of him and I liked the first book in the “Dodge” series a lot better.

I wonder what the power consumption of getting to the information in the summary is as a whole when using a regular search, clicking on multiple links, finding the right information and extracting the relevant parts. Including the expenditures of energy by the human performing the task and everything that surrounds the activity.
There are real concerns surrounding AI, I wonder if this is truly one of them or if it’s just poorly researched ragebait.

Now you’re just lobbing together people who want to distinguish what exactly it is that needs saving with climate change deniers, conspiracy theorists and antivaxxers. Seems to me you just like boxes, really big boxes, in which to put in all the thing you dislike/disagree with or whatever.
You don’t care that I disagree with almost everything on your list except for 2 things that I think are really important to be specific about.
Be my guest, I don’t care enough to continue this conversation beyond this point with a hammer that’s just looking for nails.
Ok, let the downvotes come but I’m one of those people. And the point I’m trying to make is that the planet and life itself will survive and probably even be better off without humans.
Just look at what happened after the extinction event that killed the dinosaurs. Humans are causing the next extinction event and afterwards life will just start fresh again.
So no, saving the planet is not the goal. Saving humanity and most of all other current life is. And if that’s what you want to accomplish then that’s what you should talk about, specifically.
Maybe you should read up on coping mechanisms. And maybe empathy in general.
No one wants this shit.I don’t want this shit, so no one could possibly want this shit.
FTFY, maybe time to reflect a little.

Your „free“ option just requires buying hardware that enables all of it and an intensive setup process and knowledge which might be quite time consuming.
It may be a good solution but it’s far from free for many people.
The Universe: “Best I can do is give you long Covid and make the rest of your life even more miserable.”
That’s why you probably should ask an open question like “How did it happen?” And maybe follow up with “What did we learn from it?” or something.
But I’m neither a parent nor an expert so what do I know?
