my guess is: quadrennial lenovo usff/sff . the intel nuc is nice&easy to uprade the limited set of parts for ultra longterm use.

there are a few exceptions for both providers.
i think sometimes… in certain outskirt or rural areas there may be cases when a slow and steady provider (verizon/visible) may be considered a safer option for some.

i guess one strategy is if u just need to have a smooth experience u can rapidly cut out cruft. this would lead to a much simpler experience and u would still retain a fair amount of privacy.
personally… i would rather have all privacy switches available… even if i rarely choose to have them enabled.
or u can save the page using the browser menu.
sometimes this allows for smaller size. and also ability to crop out unwanted resources. but then the page breaks and having a resource folder is messy to deal with.
i have heard that they compress(pinch) the fry pouches for the same reason.

thats kinda true. (even excluding gemini lynx user like myself) comps and phones have reached overkill for most users. therefore sff is totally fine for most users.
truth is… only reason i dont have a bigger pc is that i want flexibility to move apt if my landlord raises rent. thats literally the only reason.
otherwise i would have dual socket, 8 sticks memory, full sized gpu, etc.
i dont mind not having all that. although, it could be used for something… currently it would be used for nothing.
