You could say it was their Vietnam.
You could say it was their Vietnam.
That’s what I did, because it’s something I actually want to financially support, and there are plenty of other good shows on the service as well… but not enough for more than a month. That said, if you prefer to sail the seas I can point you in the right direction…
Goddammit I was gonna post the exact same thing.
FYI, Burke JUST released a whole new season of Connections on CuriosityStream.
“it’s an older code sir, but it checks out.”
Sassy Justice is essential deepfake viewing. The Kushner bit kills me.
These are the cries of the carrots. Let the rabbits wear glasses!
By which they mean they will sacrifice as many people as they must to accomplish their stated goals, thereby actually martyring them. There’s literally no such thing as “a living martyr”.
How are you not getting this? You cannot be considered a martyr until you have died in service or your religion, either by righteous sacrifice or by capital punishment for actions of faith.
Look, I get where you are coming from. You’re trying to apply logic and reason to a situation where there isn’t much of either. Religious zealots and unscrupulous nationalists are doing terrible things to each other, and there’s a shitload of innocent civilians stuck in the middle. But your oversimplification of “hamas should surrender without condition” conveys a tremendous lack of understanding of what either side hopes to accomplish.
For the record, I don’t necessarily disagree with you. I believe Hammas could do much more good in the long run by surrendering, thereby ending the conflict… but then the eyes of the world would be on Israel as they continued to bulldoze Gaza and make life for innocent Palestinians even harder. But that’s still a shitty take because the innocent still suffer, and the world would likely just turn away and ignore it until the next time a terrorist does something terrible.
I understand quite well how terrorist organizations work.
You say that, then you say
In what universe are dead martyrs better than living ones…
A terrorist is literally only martyred by dying for their cause. There’s no such thing as a living martyr.
So no, you absolutely do not understand how terrorist organizations, specifically terrorist organizations like Hamas, actually work.
It’s not so much a dislike of Israel as it is a dislike of a government hiding behind false accusations of racism in order to further their own shitty agenda.
I am friends with Israeli jews, I am friends with Muslims, I would love to visit Russia someday as a tourist, and I am proud to live in the part of America where I currently reside. Thay said, I don’t like the actions of the IDF, I don’t like what Hamas stands for, I don’t like the actions of the Russian government, I don’t like the actions of the US Government.
But if that’s the route you want to take, you really don’t like Palestine, huh?
I just got over exactly what you described. No fever, negative covid tests, but uncontrollable coughing and a crackling wheeze that stuck around for a month and a half. Doctors put me through two rounds of antibiotics and cough suppressants. And I’m still not entirely out of the woods yet.
Baguette à selfie.
Case in point: a number of years ago I knew a kid who was smart enough to flash Tomato on his router, enable SSH and even install a bunch of Entware packages. But he wasn’t intelligent enough to change the SSH port from 22 or leave the remote access disabled.
Fast forward a month or two and his ISP tells him that they traced some pretty serious botnet shenanigans to his IP.
Just because someone is smart enough to use a device doesn’t necessarily mean they’re intelligent enough to use it safely.
I’m pretty sure they’re still in the episodes on Paramount Plus…
They’re in a tank. They literally do not need protection. They also do not care. The hats fill their microbrain compulsions just fine. They don’t need your absurd “hey, aren’t we all just urchins in hats!?” train of thought.
They’re probably living their best lives. They’re not being raised for food, they’re not living in a wild ocean… they’re wearing dapper hats instead of the dead husks of their seaborn brethren.
You could take a lesson from those urchins.
I haven’t seen anyone jump to a conclusion like that since the guy on Office Space.
Bro, you need to define the word “crunch” because … NONE of that looks like it has even the slightest bit of crunch.
So, blow up buildings that MIGHT have actual terrorists but also DEFINITELY have civilians is the better course of action?
And yet nothing he said was wrong.
Wait, nail guns are bad?
