I think I saw a series of documentaries on those busses some 10-15 years ago.

Imagine how much more space efficient it would’ve been if they had taken the bus instead.
Don’t hold your breath. .su is still around, so I doubt .io will disappear very soon.
This depends. I’ve found that the cheaper KVM solutions are pretty picky when it comes to supported hardware and standards. While the more expensive/industrial ones are more forgiving.
Well, logically the immunity would also cover the vice president, as the stated argument for immunity was that a president should be able to act without having to clear everything with a lawyer. Logically, a vice president should then also have the same immunity.
So I guess murdering the president to take their job simply has to be done while shouting “This is an official act of the office of the vice president!” as a battle cry.
They could have stopped at any time, but once their three day plan failed, putin decided to engage in a money-burning competition against a group of countries with a combined gdp roughly 25 times theirs…
Not sure honestly. It may have been the year before. Or even earlier. Or maybe I’m just slow at noticing popular media trends. As you can see, I’m doing great at growing old.
I’m soaking wet. My kids wanted to go trick or treating, but there’s a storm at the moment with sideways rain. So I followed them in my car until I decided it was enough. Two of them had already capitulated, but the 3rd and a friend wanted to keep going.
Helping them in/out as well as helping their friend getting the bike out was enough weather exposure for me to get properly soaked - all of my kids were completely drenched, but they had a good time.
They’re currently eating Halloween candy, and I’m looking forward to a hot shower with a cold beer once they’re in bed in not too long.
Oh, and I got a new laptop today, which is pretty nice. Haven’t had much time setting everything up yet, though.
With all the Bowsettes last year, I’m tempted to say no in the name of equality.
Agreed. While 3, VC, and SA were awesome, the shift in style made them so different they’re not really comparable.
GTA2 stuck to the top-down view that made the original game so much fun. And the faction system was pretty cool.
I really enjoyed VC and SA, but I found it a bit jarring that the character now had lines. I always preferred that he was a “shut up and do what you’re told” kind of guy.
GTA4 was fine.
GTA5 was a really nice tech demo that lacked depth in the gameplay. Great writing, though.
…with blyatjack and hookers!
If I remember correctly, NK generals inherit the medals of their father, so there’s probably a medal from the Korean war 70 years ago in there, as well as for any anniversaries thereof.
20 years ago, the right wing propaganda machine was focused on (before they went full out fascist) low taxes for the “job creators” such as corporations and rich people, on the basis of that leading to more lucrative job opportunities for everyone else. The thinking was that the people and corporations in this low-tax environment would have incentives for creating jobs “here” instead of moving them overseas.
Not everyone on that side of the isle have realized that this results in jobs still ending up overseas, along with money that could’ve funded schools, roads, libraries, et al. And many of those who have realized it continue along the same path because it’s too profitable for them to do so.
Remember this next time you hear slogans such as “trickle down economy”, or Glitch McConnells favorite: “What’s good for the goose is good for the gander”.
Ouch, that’s my exhaust vent
Because they’re a great surrogate for close counter friendships when none are available
Unusable in our case
It is my firm belief that, given a proper pitch, ANYTHING can be sold at a profit.
Also, there’s rule 34: If a thing exists, it’s someones fetish.
While not common, I unfortunately have some anecdotal evidence to the contrary: I was an illegal* in Texas for a month, and i ate quite a few babies* while there. Not only that, but I was the wrong* skin color too.
*: I was there as part of my job, on a tourist visa, which does allow for meetings and such. However, there were some last minute changes to the plan that involved some “proper” work that was originally scheduled for a different trip. Big nono.
*: Despite my dislike for chicken, I ate quite a few at company dinners.
*: I contracted a pretty bad sunburn while there.
These fascist-wannabe fucktards probably would make some impressive contortionist performances while bending over backwards to explain how I’m not the type of immigrant they’re scared of.
Oh, and for the “they’re bringing diseases”. Yup. I’ve had COVID twice. Both times contracted during business trips to the US. I had to quarantine before going “BaCk To WhErE i CaMe FrOm”
Watching it on a drotary phone back then would’ve required landlines for every viewer. Highly inconvenient.
