I last used a chromium based browser more than 5 years ago. Recently I bought myself a tablet and had to make the difficult decision to switch to the kiwi browser there just because Mozilla can’t be bothered to include tabs for their tablet layout.

I wasn’t the one writing the comment.
They were talking about the reviews featured in the article. Did you read it?
Yeah I’m just saying there are already flight journeys within Germany that could be replaced by train and there the same problem applies. I wasn’t suggesting that a hypothetical European ticket would have similar restrictions.
Sure, but most train journeys you would replace a flight with are way too long and arduous with the 49€ ticket because that only allows regional trains and not the high speed IC/ICE trains. Those are the ones that need to get cheaper if we want people to stop flying.
What’s the issue with those TLDs?
Yeah the fork is really new so I get why it seems that way. A tankie is a person who is a left wing authoritarian, to the point that they support Russia (I guess because of udssr history?) and china. Lemmy’s main developers fall under that spectrum and one of the largest lemmy instances before the whole reddit api thing went down was lemmygrad.ml, where you get banned if you dare criticise the CCP. Thankfully most instances are deferedated from it.
It’s a fork of lemmur, which has been around for quite a long time but whose development was stopped earlier this year because its developers didn’t want to be associated with tankies.
Imagine being so insecure that you won’t use an app because the name isn’t manly enough. (Although to be fair i am also using liftoff atm because it was the open source app that worked the best last time I tried them all)
Yeah I think I initially signed up for a free month because I wanted to watch some nebula exclusive content and was pleasantly surprised by how many creators I was already subscribed to release their stuff there. It made it a no brainer to subscribe to nebula.
There is nothing stopping you from subscribing to nebula right now. Since I haven’t gotten any ads on YouTube in many years and even use sponsorblock to skip those annoying video segments I started thinking about how I am basically leeching off of most content creators. Subscribing to nebula was a no-brainer. It’s about $4.16 per month on the yearly plan and lets me support all content creators I watch on there at once rather than subscribing to each and every one of them on patreon and I still don’t see any ads
You know people can harass women or be dicks to their coworkers/subordinates and not be transphobic, right? Also, as of 2022, about 65 people work at Linus tech tips. Saying “Everyone was cool with it and endorsed it” is a bit of a broad statement to make.
