Yeah I should probably add that it’s the 12-Core M2 Pro. I’m pretty close to the top of the line for MacBooks right now but I am still very impressed that it delivers. Not to mention how quiet the fans are; if they run at all.

Absolutely insane that it’s running better on my M2 MacBook than my 3070 desktop
I think what it comes down to is how much you enjoy the freedom of the games. A lot of their games kinda just let you loose with a story that you can build over the course of the game, whereas New Vegas has a goal in mind that it is constantly pushing you towards.
Again, I don’t think either preference is better than the other. I just think they are two very different play styles that are suited for different experiences.
It sounds like you’re a fan of Bethesda games so I think this game will definitely be great for you.
Personally, I’ve really struggled to enjoy their games because they just feel a bit shallow for reasons that I can’t explain. They just don’t engage me at all. New Vegas was the only one that I completed and I think that is likely due to a difference in game design that I enjoy more.
I want to like Starfield and I will give it a try when it comes out, but I’m just worried it will leave me with an empty feeling like their other games do.
I agree with you but I’m just gonna say with basic regex (hell, even without regex) you can easily find bad words without the problem you mentioned above.
Word filters tend to suck in online games and stuff because they have to navigate players trying to avoid the filter, which I think could still be improved with a little effort
You are talking about different things. Using the native OS you can have infinite windows at any size, but if you are duplicating your desktop view from your Mac then you are limited to a fixed-density single screen
Nice app! Still a little rough around the edges but I understand it’s still early :)
Seems like a problem with lemmy.ml. Mine worked fine
I think it might be good to create specific protocols in the ActivityPub documentation for the various types of social media to ensure interoperability.
No hard rules, but a guideline for how to ensure you are maximizing compatibility, maybe.
This was a good read and it’s something I’ve wondered about. The fediverse is sorta built on this promise that everyone will be able to interact across any implementation of ActivityPub.
But that’s not really true. The different types of social media have wildly different implementations, where we have to rely on developers communicating and cooperating with other implementations for everything to work even a little bit
I’ve never felt that country TLDs were worth using and this has only cemented that opinion for me
Holy shit this is actually kind of a huge story
That’s not true. There are a few other free TLDs. I think five total?
It’s not jumping to conclusions; it’s actually pretty well-known. The devs and their instance are very open about being Marxist-Leninists.
I don’t see how machine learning is related to Lemmy in any way
I can’t believe someone else is having the exact same conversation with the exact same person as me
Thats not a rebuttal. The .ml instance is run by Marxist-Leninists
Thanks, I know what it stands for but I am trying to explain why that particular top-level domain was picked for those lemmy instances
Uh funny timing but my desktop has been getting worse and worse recently until it just became unusable. Just opened it up to find that the liquid cooling for the CPU was leaking… I might have been neglecting my PC for a while. hopefully performance will be better once I get this fixed (and cleaned out)
