I actually did lookups for the CEOs of a couple of these on opensecrets.org and couldn’t find any monetary donations for the current NYT CEO or CNN CEO. Doesn’t mean they’re not trying to get Trump elected, but it’s not by donating to his campaign.
It’s not like anybody is going to peek in the bathroom. Clearly secure.
The problem with the Supreme Court is that you need the Senate to be on board with any kind of action. Two approaches:
Making something meaningful happen here requires actually electing enough Democrats to the Senate to act.
I don’t have a great answer other than removing Musk and the rest of the management he put in place, and the only way to impact that as a consumer is to commit to never buying their products.
Unfortunately, the Tesla assembly line is also a wildly racist environment, most likely encouraged by management.
His late ex-wife described how Trump would read an anthology of Hitler’s speeches before bed:
Ivana Trump told her lawyer Michael Kennedy that from time to time her husband reads a book of Hitler’s collected speeches, My New Order, which he keeps in a cabinet by his bed.
Trump seems to have actually picked up a copy of Hitler’s speeches:
Ivana Trump told her lawyer Michael Kennedy that from time to time her husband reads a book of Hitler’s collected speeches, My New Order, which he keeps in a cabinet by his bed
Last April, perhaps in a surge of Czech nationalism, Ivana Trump told her lawyer Michael Kennedy that from time to time her husband reads a book of Hitler’s collected speeches, My New Order, which he keeps in a cabinet by his bed. Kennedy now guards a copy of My New Order in a closet at his office, as if it were a grenade. Hitler’s speeches, from his earliest days up through the Phony War of 1939, reveal his extraordinary ability as a master propagandist.
“Did your cousin John give you the Hitler speeches?” I asked Trump.
Trump hesitated. “Who told you that?”
“I don’t remember,” I said.
“Actually, it was my friend Marty Davis from Paramount who gave me a copy of Mein Kampf, and he’s a Jew.” (“I did give him a book about Hitler,” Marty Davis said. “But it was My New Order, Hitler’s speeches, not Mein Kampf. I thought he would find it interesting. I am his friend, but I’m not Jewish.”)
The Senate is absolutely a very tough lift; it’s going to be really tough for the Democrats to get even 50 seats.
He could back in 1990. It’s far from clear that he still can.
The one book somebody has seen him read is an anthology of Hitler’s speeches:
Last April, perhaps in a surge of Czech nationalism, Ivana Trump told her lawyer Michael Kennedy that from time to time her husband reads a book of Hitler’s collected speeches, My New Order, which he keeps in a cabinet by his bed. Kennedy now guards a copy of My New Order in a closet at his office, as if it were a grenade. Hitler’s speeches, from his earliest days up through the Phony War of 1939, reveal his extraordinary ability as a master propagandist.
Which is why it’s absolutely essential to elect enough Democrats in the Senate to enable court expansion.
A lot of what campaigns do is try to fire up supporters so that they actually vote. Merely “supporting” without actually casting a ballot doesn’t help.
They’re referring to a podcast named Call her Daddy
Yes, Article II, Section 3 says:
he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them
But…if the Speaker of the House doesn’t feel like doing anything, he can make it really difficult to pass anything.
They’ve had the opportunity to use the 25th before and not done so
Yeah, the ad dollars all went to Facebook and Instagram, since they’re better-able to deliver the kind of targeting that advertisers want, so most local news stopped being financially viable.
It could, but in practice never is; it’s always things like “we want you to put street numbers on your drivers license, but the reservations don’t have street numbers” or “We’ll accept concealed carry permits, but not student IDs” or “gee, urban residents are less likely to have a driver’s license, let’s mandate that”
The Republicans might, but would have a much harder time being in a position to do so, since the Democrats would:
