News coverage — including election coverage — is NOT behind the picket line. It’s okay to read and share that, though the site and app may very well have problems.

I agree that there’s very little convincing to do at this stage — right now it’s about turnout. Having these in one place like this can emphasize the importance of voting to stop Trump and help make sure people vote.

You can definitely run the machine out of the paper and ink it uses. May take postal workers a bit to refill it, especially when there is a big line of people clamoring for the the prettier pre-printed stamps.

Security clearances are nominally the domain of the FBI, rather than the CIA. They tend to see themselves as a right-wing organization though.
It’s a problem the whole news industry has. Craigslist took all the classified ads. Facebook took almost all the business ads. So what’s left is subscriptions — and if you don’t charge, the paper goes bust.

Newspapers in general have been having a tough time, but the NYT is fantastically profitable. They’re basically a games, review, and recipe company with a side of news.
