to be honest, 80% of their customers probably don’t even know what an emulator is and don’t follow news about nintendo
yeah that’s not good, may get you prosecuted under “material support” laws

if you can’t connect to a vpn using only open source software, that’s a crappy vpn
importantly it’s (hopefully) an ISP that operates from a less copyright-happy country and isn’t tied down to tons of expensive infrastructure and long-term contracts
Most microplastics come from car tires and washing of clothing with plastic in them. (both abrade the plastic causing uncountable tiny pieces of microplastics to enter the water or the air)
Then there are a lot of places that dump plastic into rivers or the ocean instead of into landfills.
I wonder if it’s common for those steganography techniques to have some mechanism for defeating the fairly simple strategy of getting 2 copies of the file from different sources, and looking at the differences between them to expose all the watermarks.
(I’d think you would need sections of watermark that are the same for any 2 or n combinations of copies of the data, which may be pretty easy to do in many cases, though the difference makes detecting the general watermarking strategy massively easier for the un-watermarkers)
We set sail on this new sea because there is new knowledge to be gained, and new bragging rights to be won, and they must be won and used for the progress of all speedrunners. But why, some say, zero A presses? Why choose this as our goal? And they may well ask, why climb the highest mountain? Why, 55 years ago, fly to the Moon? Why does Mohun Bagal play the Delhi Capitals? We choose to do zero A presses. We choose to do zero A presses… We choose to do zero A presses in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard; because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one we intend to win, and the others, too.

a shadow is just a silhouette cast on a surface, so it can move much faster than light. An object moving near the speed of light in front of a small light source that casts a shadow on a very large, very distant object could appear to move billions of times faster than light (though you would need an extremely bright light source for the shadow to be noticeable to the naked eye)
there’s really no upper limit, just how far you’re willing to stretch the definition of “shadow” and “movement”
I’d think game journalism has been mostly replaced by youtube reviewers / video essays, no?
steam’s drm is a complete joke though? Tons of game developers add their own drm on top because it is so trivial to bypass steam’s own.
Their main product is a marketplace/content delivery system
To save even more data, replace every symbol with A. Then just store the amount of As.

It’s specifically called a [glass/ceramic] stove cleaning [blade/scraper]. I’ve used one a lot and it doesn’t seem to do noticeable damage (glass stove tops need to be pretty tough anyways to handle regular cooking)
