The thing is, that’s why the Jan 6 insurrectionists were using it as a symbol in the first place. Trump convinced them election was rigged so the upside down flag was used to signal that they believed the country was being hijacked.

You got me, I didn’t know anyone who even owned a surround sound setup in the gamecube era.
That came out on GameCube back when we were all still using composite cables that didn’t support surround anyway.
Edit: Apparently I was misinformed, still KAR was such a casual arcadey game that I’m sure it got more benefit out of quick startup than it would have from surround support.
The FCC has no authority over cable, they can only regulate content on public airwaves.
I absolutely cannot comprehend why a normal pokemon battling system wasn’t included.
Because it doesn’t fit the design of the game.
Pokemon Go is meant to be played while walking around outside. This means you can’t have a lot of text because glare from the sun will make it too hard to read. The real battle system also requires more congnitive load than most people can handle while walking and takes too long which will lead to people stopping for extended periods of time at which point you’re no longer playing a pedometer game.
And that one congressman represents 500k people, Meanwhile each of Florida’s represents 800k people. Why should the people of Florida’s votes be worth 60% of a Wyoming voter’s? Why should we not just give Florida 11 more congresspeople so it’s even?
The Senate was the solution, the house is meant to be population based but they ran out of space in the chamber and capped it instead of just building a bigger room so now Wyoming is massively overrepresented.

Pokemon is second-party, the publisher (Nintendo) owns part of the IP but they don’t own the developer (Gamefreak).
You should write to one of the Green Party’s Congresspeople about it. Even state congresspeople can do a lot to help with issues like this, they’re the foundation a nation-wide party is built on after all.
I get that you’ve got good intentions, but this reads like an email I would find my spam folder and I can’t imagine it would inspire any reddit mods to move over to Lemmy. The mods who were so dissatisfied with Reddit that they would be willing to migrate with the information in this script have already done so.
There are likely be some who might be willing to migrate if they get personal support from an instance admin or some other tangible offer of assistance, but nobody is going to jump ship just because “Reddit Bad” anymore.

Yup that’s actually a tradeoff you have to consider in the game, putting more power into the engines speeds up how long it takes to make an FTL jump. So if you don’t think you can beat the ship you’re fighting, it can make sense to put all power into the engines to try and jump away before they destroy your ship. Turning off life support still leaves you with the air currently in the ship which lasts for some amount of time depending on how big your ship is/how many crew members you have/how many hull breaches, open airlocks, or fires there are.
I always appreciate how the game FTL made “diverting power from life support” make sense. You don’t do it when your shield generators are damaged, you do it when your reactor is too damaged to output enough power for both shields and life support.
