When you’re paying £50 for a sweater, that’s basically rich kid sweater anyway. £50 for me is basically 2 weeks of groceries if I shop wisely.

It’s just insane they think that cost is acceptable just because it has a school logo on it.

And honestly, where I’m from. There wasn’t really rich kids. There was 1 kid in a school of 750 who came from a family with money. So it makes even less sense.

I wouldn’t mind uniforms, if they weren’t like 3 times the price of regular clothes.
My school sweater was a blue v-neck. But it had to have the school name and logo on it. So it was £50.
If they’d just said, v-neck royal blue sweater and let people buy their own from whatever store, that’s fine. We had specific ties too, so if they just said we had to buy the ties from the school but the PE shorts/ netball skirts, football socks, polos and the school sweater should have been able to be purchased from any old store.

I agree, non-uniform days were hell for me. I was the kid of the working class parent, and the emo/ goth kid. I didn’t own anything that wasn’t fitting of my aesthetic. So I got bullied badly. So I appreciated the uniform. But the prices are the issue. And school that demand girls wear skirts and not trousers, I have a huge issue with that. If girls want to wear trousers, it shouldn’t be an issue. It makes me question whether the people implementing the rules are just sexist, or sexist and pervvy.

Public schools here are insane. It’s like £50 for one sweater. And it’s got to have the school name/ logo on it. So you can’t just go and buy a generic sweater the same colour.
And you’ve got to have at least 2, so when one is getting washed, you’d have one good to go.
There’s black shoes, not trainers, but smart shoes.
White shirts. Black pants/ skirts. Specific socks. £15 a tie, which is specifically in school colours so no going out to buy a cheap generic tie.
Then there’s the PE kit that has to be bought from the school. £20 for shorts. £20 for the polo. £10 for football socks.

Altogether when you’re done it’s around £300. Which, if you’re generally working class/ out of work, you’re fucked.
My sweaters faded after half a year, so mum had to buy more. They’d of fit me the entire time, but she had to buy new ones pretty much every 6 months because they just faded in the wash. And that was in the 00s. My mum hates buying uniform for my younger sisters, apparently it’s crazy priced.
Now schools here are doing blazers too, god knows how much they are.

You assume that because I play games that I’m a young boy?
I’m a woman in her 30s. Ive been playing games since I was 4. Ive played sega, Nintendo, playstation, Xbox and pc games. I also play d&d.
I play a wide range of games from Pokémon, Zelda, animal crossing to doom, overwatch, diablo, the dark pictures games, Alan wake, baldurs gate, mass effect, slay the spire.
I’m not playing due to corporate manipulation. I play because I want to play, because I enjoy engaging my brain and being able to focus on something fun. So please, continue to shit on things people enjoy instead of actually focusing on the things you enjoy.

I’m a die hard Nintendo fan. Been playing Nintendo since I was like 4.
Pokémon is one of my favourite gaming series ever.
However, I also play games that are basically Pokémon but with a different name. So long as there’s not actual copyright being broken, who cares? Pokémon is an insanely successful franchise, if other companies want to try using the idea for their games in hopes of success. Go for it! It’s fun seeing all the variants.
I get why people hate seeing their favourite game ‘ripped off’, but if Nintendo see it as an issue, they’ll deal with it themselves. People need to chill out, I’m pretty sure Nintendo are capable of fighting their own battles. It’s not like they’re a small company of 10 people who might of not seen the game.

Oh man, you’ve got sooo much to go! It’s great. I love that whole starting area. It’s so much fun.

My second play through was a wood elf bard. She was pretty fun to play. Considering I’m a barbarian player usually. First play through was a half orc barbarian, she was really cool.

I’m in my third play through of it. It’s such an amazing game, so many emotions and amazing storylines.

Where are you up to?

I’m an introvert. And was as a child too. Talking to friends via msn messenger was my preference. If my mum had of removed my technology I’d of had no way of talking to my friends that was comfortable for me, it basically forces face to face social interaction if you want to talk to people.
Which triggered an anxiety response and made me very tired.
So I imagine banning tech from children will result in introverted children having to be in situations they don’t enjoy and not being able to feel comfortable communicating in ways they are comfortable.
It could result in children just shutting themselves away because they dont enjoy the face to face. Which can result in depression. But forcing them to be uncomfortable in social situations can result in serious anxiety and even more discomfort in social situations, if you’re forced into something it can create more of a distaste for that situation/ thing.
The times I was dragged to things with my mum, it made me hate parties etc all the more and my anxiety about them got worse.
Whereas if it’s something I chose to do for myself, it had less of a negative effect on me than if it’s something I was forced into.
So if introverted children prefer texting, messaging etc then you take that away from them, it can result in them having to do things they aren’t comfortable with, which can have an effect on mental health. As it’s forcing them into different things they don’t really want to be doing.

I liked it. The typeface, size and spacing made it easier to read. They included all the points in a relatively short amount of text, lots of people don’t like to read walls of text that have the points hidden in amongst unnecessary text.

They put important points in bold so even if you skimmed you could see the important points and read that paragraph if it was what you wanted information on.

It makes it easier for people who don’t really understand the issues, to understand what it is and why it’s wrong.

And this autistic person appreciated the simplicity and straightforwardness of it. As I assume others would too. So it’s more accessable and understandable for people like me.

I loved that game. It was stupid goofy fun. Serious zombie games are all well and good. But campy silliness is what I love.

Lollipop chainsaw and the dead island series are my fave zombie games.

Glad I’m not the only one who confused skyports to sky sports. 😹

And not the mention the insane toxicity. If I reported toxic chat in ow1, I always got a notice a day or two later. But literally from ow2, none of my reports have come back. And I’ve reported some pretty disgusting chats, racism, sexism etc. And nothing. At all. I know the notices are still a thing cause I’ve seen screenshots of people getting them. But I also noticed that generally it was the pc players. I don’t think I saw a screenshot from console players.

And I hate that crossplay is now a thing. Yeah cool, our me against like 1 playstation player and 4 pc players in comp. That’s really a fair match when my team is either all PS or one pc player.

And the volume of hacking and bots now is ridiculous. Again, no reports come back. Even on rein with an aim bot. It was so bad the dude would spin when he was near more than one character. Literally spinning round like a fucking Beyblade… But sure blizz, that’s fine.

6v6 and two cap maps were awesome. Now I’m lucky if 2 cap pop up in arcade. Sigh. And they promised ow1 would stay, right until just before release then they trolled and ow2 was forced onto us.
