Where do you think the fascists get the political capital to be able to do whatever they want with impunity? The fucking voters.
Yes, but how do (a good proportion of) voters decide who they support? They look at what the two parties do. And this is what the Democrats did: not even close to enough.
And they only know what the Democrats did through the media, and the media overwhelmingly supported the fascists (and is largely owned by fascist oligarchs).
They look at what the two parties do.

Just maintaining the rule of law should have been enough. Didn’t trump just brag about musk manipulating the voting machines in Pennsylvania?
All the democrats had to do was enforce the law while in power, and they failed to do so. The monied interests in America wanted fascism, and it was handed to them on a silver platter.
