I’m mean, sure - it looks a long way if go the south-east route. But there’s a short-cut if you go northwest - Iceland, Greenland, New Zealand, bosch.

What happens if you go due Norf then?
In case of the most common map, Mercator projection, if you go exactly due Norf you’ll come out from the top of the map, facing due Souf, 180° of longitude (Eaft or Weft, doesn’t matter) away.
