The only good nazi is a dead nazi. What games are the best for taking them out?

India Jones and the Great Circle was a good start, and I’m considering Sniper Elite VR for the highly detailed nazi carnage. Wondering what other nazi-killing favorites are out there.

You know Call of Duty started out as killing nazis on the Quake engine. I don’t remember really liking them but it’s there

In Command and Conquer: Red Alert and it’s sequel all the nazis have already been erased from history by Albert Einstein’s time machine…

But the USSR in the games conquered Europe and is cartoonishly evil so they’re fun to fight.

I enjoyed return to castle Wolfenstein when it came out and competitively played Enemy Territory for years and even made a mod for it. I have no idea how it would hold up today, however

I don’t know if anything really tops Wolfenstein TNO. Right from the get-go you’re running through a trench dual-wielding machine guns and just shredding Nazis like you’re mowing grass. Plus you can personally stomp Hitler’s face in! 10/10 experience.

The New Colossus was released during Trump’s first term and it was really cathartic to play during the shit storm. The game even pissed off the “alt-right.” The New Order and The Old Blood are much better at “endless destruction of Nazis” though.

Might be time to reinstall and play through them again.

Just pointing out something that, certain Communities should avoid political talk wholesale (Not that I would call those punks politically savvy)

There’s a community dedicated to that There’s a reason why you all came to Lemmy

Here’s a Wikipedia article on the subject. Nazis still exist today (as neo-Nazis) and they desperately want hating them to be a matter of political opinion instead of a matter of humanity. Don’t give them that.

The Nazi ideologi is a dictatorship. Dictatorships aren’t political. The word political in it’s most basic form means “making decisions in a group”. A dictatorship doesn’t do that. They do participate in democratic politics only because that is the existing system and they want to dismantle that.

“Fight the Nazis” could be a political statement, because it happens within a political system and urges the system to take action politically, but it is not a statement that picks a political side. Both extreme left and extreme right politics should be against Nazis, because Nazis want to destroy all politics, including both sides and everything in between.

So, sure, its a political statement, but it’s not a statement that can upset anyone politically.

The only people who can object against hating Nazis are Nazis themselves.

While no one disagrees with hating on Nazis, Behaving like one won’t gain you any internet points

Most of us here on lemmy want to escape from all those “Political Hobbyists” infecting everything & talk about non-political stuff safely There’s an entire community dedicated to political talks

The only people who can object against hating Nazis are Nazis themselves.

This was the key to his statement and I agree with him.

Video games need to generate acceptable targets. Aliens invading people’s homes, PMCs controlled by powerful men, thugs and looters looking to beat up whoever they find, etc.

But it’s ridiculous anyone would post “Hey! If aliens did come to our world to take control of our governments, they would be sorely offended by video games about killing them!” On one level because aliens don’t exist. On the other because if they were coming to take control of our governments, why would we want to protect or respect them?

Now, replace the little green men with discriminatory, media-controlling purveyors of hate speech. They exist. Everyone sane would rather they didn’t. That’s all.

I said that Nazis are not political. I don’t care if and I didn’t state whether you are one or not, but you can’t argue that anti-nazi statements should be disallowed for being political, because Nazis are not within a political spectrum.

In set theory, Nazis are simply not in the set that the rule is describing.

Killing Nazis in a video game for fun shouldn’t be confused with “politics.” Doing the same in real life only is because they’re a political party.

    Red Dead Redemption 2.

    OK hear me out.

Sure the game’s setting predates the Nazis and there are none to kill in the game. However, there is an entire inexhaustible faction of Confederates to murder. But even better than that, the game gives you several opportunities to stumble on a Klan meeting.

These encounters are special because they’re a sandbox for creative butchery and guiltless massacre. Even the game’s honor system looks the other way while you toss a gallon of liquor onto the burning cross, dousing the Grand Dragon and all his Cyclopses, sending them in a screeching panic, fully engulfed, off a nearby cliff just like that dude in Lord of the Rings.

      Spoiler

I love the part when you come across that old man who’s house etc has been repossessed and he wants you to go and retrieve some belongings. I initially I felt sorry for him so of course I went and did it, and then you find out he was a slave trader. I completed the quest anyway and liked the cut scene where Arthur just burns everything. Then before I rode away I shot him in the head and laughed when I saw it made my honour go up

Evey time I run into the RDR2 version of the KKK (Lemoyne Raiders?) I get so giddy and happy that I get the opportunity to find a new, creative, fun way to kill them all.

Probably favorite is to hogtie the ones I can keep alive, toss all the live and dead ones into a single pile, then light it on fire

Lemoyne Raiders aren’t the Klan. There’s actual klansmen too. You have to find them at night in the woods near Lemoyne, but they’re never associated with the raiders.

I could have sworn I got some note off one of the hooded corpses that identified them as Raiders, and nothing actually using the actual KKK name, though it’s so obvious from the hoods and the cross that that’s exactly who they’re intended to be

This is an old game series, but it was proof that you could put as much blood and gore into a game as you wanted and still get a Teen rating in the US, as long as you’re just killing/dismembering Nazis.

BloodRayne. There’s a “cheat” to change a few of the visual effects. One makes her put all her weapons where she is actually storing them, and shows the unused weapons at all times. One makes the blood spray levels "more accurate to the actual amount of blood in the human body. The last one just makes her boobs bouncier.
