LA PAZ, Bolivia (AP) — The total of Bolivia’s confirmed lithium resources has increased 2 million tons to 23 million tons, the Andean country’s president said Thursday.

The new estimate further cements Bolivia’s position as the country with the world’s biggest known deposits of lithium, which is in high demand for use in batteries.

Hopefully the don’t end up getting exploited for it

    So we hope.

Though there are some concerns for example with an increasing Chinese trade deficit & ( economic) dependency. Also, quoting:

" Other critics say that Chinese operations in Latin America’s mining belt have been environmentally damaging and disrespectful of indigenous concerns. The Collective on Chinese Financing and Investments, Human Rights and the Environment looked at 26 mining, infrastructure, and energy projects in Latin America. It concluded that every single one of them had contributed amply to deforestation and water pollution and human rights violations against local and indigenous communities."

            LOL whatanoutism.

I wish you knew what whataboutism is. It’s literally saying China is exploitative. That’s whataboutism. The reality of the last 600 years is that white people

Yeah whatever, you are not staying on topic. And many things happened in the world, somewhere sometimes. We are talking about 2023, not 1423.

Also your comments are racist and not factual.

Added: FYI: those concerns I quoted, were raised by Juan Carlos Montenegro, the director of YLB, Bolivia.

My comments are racist against whom? White people? News flash, white isn’t a race.

American genocide is actively occuring today. The TPP attempts to reinstate the same rules of colonialism that underlied the British invasion of China. Hong Kong was only returned to China in the 1990s. How blind do you have to be to think colonialism stopped in 1423?
