Demographically, what is the profile of the average “settler”? Are they ultra-orthodox, Herodim or something? I know very little about Israeli domestic stuff
Some of the settlers move to the occupied territories for religious reasons while others are drawn by a relatively lower cost of living and financial incentives offered by the government. Ultraorthodox Jews form one-third of all settlers.
From the second article, you should give it a read.
Yeah that’s the stereotype, that settlers are typically right-wing orthodox types that believe the entire holy land should belong to them. Though, the Al-Jazeera article says Ultra-Orthodox are 1/3 of settlers and many others are there for religious or financial reasons.
Basically there are 2 types of people living there.
First are the people who go to live there because government supports it a lot (which is terrible btw). Basically they go to the West Bank to enjoy life in a newly built village with more modern amenities than in the rest of Israel.
The second groups are the ultra-orthodox ones who just believe that God gave them the land… Rather no comment on that attitude.

Trusting Al-Jazeera is a terrible idea as they literally couldn’t call Hamas a terrorist organization.
1/3 is still a large proportion, considering that orthodox jews made up only 13% of Isreal.
So whats the truth or an alternative reality-based take on it?
We’re out of alternative reality, can I interest you in some alternative facts instead?
What does it come with again?
Orange makeup
Does it also come with a sickening amount of fast food?
