Given his follow-up responses he seems to generally believe what he said (or at least upholding the joke?). I mean I kinda get the notion that we shouldn’t take advantage of people, but Mike made the competition himself. The guy asking to be paid isn’t taking advantage, he’s asking for what Mike promised him.

I think the difference here is that floridians at local and state level want to cut funding, so they’re welcome to do that. The issue is, if that’s what you vote for and enact, don’t then turn around and ask for government money and/or turn down other states when they ask for federal money (like after Sandy).
Yeah, I think this is something that people continously fail to realize, sports have been split by sex/gender so that sport events aren’t dominated by one sex/gender. If you’re drawing lines to protect one group you’ve opened up the can of worms about where that line is drawn.

Which is the same issue with many physcology and political survey-based studies. Take a survey that was horribly implemented, run some lightweight analysis (cause what can you really do with 20 respondents anyways), slap a funny name on it, and boom another piece of terrible research.

Honestly surprised they haven’t made a rougelite game yet. Seems like the perfect fit given the prevelance of 2D side scrolling rouglites.
I think their point is that you or I wouldn’t get treated that lightly. How many people get 10 violations, let alone need a gag order in the first place. The sad fact is that a court acting “moderately” is a lot more lenient than what a lot of people experience.

Meta/Facebook has the quest locked down so you can’t easily install run apps without using their store. By preventing developers from releasing new games/updates on the store for quest 1, they’ve effectively killed the product.
Its the same as if Apple stopped supporting an iPhone in the app store. That phone is no longer able to install any apps on it.

The thing that’s always so misleading about these numbers is that everything costs more in the US to begin with. A lot of that expense is just for US labor, which costs more per person than at least most countries. I picked up Balatro because of this thread and I agree, it’s a great game and something a little fresh, but slay the spire is still probably the best.
I agree about the “more like a game” element. Baltoro feels more like playing cards than playing a video game. I think it’s cause I’m using the same odds/play styles as when I play real life card games.
They’ve definitely added things to it over the year or so it’s been out. Not sure if enough to make it worth it for you. It’s also possible I’m just bad at it, as I haven’t beaten it (although only 12hrs on it).
Wildfrost is a really good one. It’s got a lot of different play styles and has a pretty big learning curve.
Also on android there is Pirate Outlaws. It feels like a slay the spire clone, but has a good amount of content and does enough different to be worth mentioning.
Not exactly the same cause it’s not a deck builder, but has a similar feel is dicey dungeons (both steam and android). It’s a lot simpler and luck is a larger factor, but it’s got a decent gameplay loop and being able to play on Android helped scratch that itch on the road.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks they look like the “Plants vs Zombies” zombies.
Not exactly the same thing, but Jon Deere does put modems on all of their tractors so farmers can track where they planted what and where they applied what herbicides/fungicides/etc. It’s largely driven by having data driven agronomy and farming, but the general idea could easily apply to logistical applications.
The real problem is why did no one know that it was being done.
