There is likely a lot of US tech in that chip. TSMC is just a fab, they don’t have a lot of their own technology, they buy thousands of pieces of tech from all over the world to make their chips. A lot of that comes from the US.
I know :-(. Let the enshittification proceed.
I’d much rather have upgradeable RAM and SSD thanks.
Putin is a former KGB agent. He’s good at the things that the KGB were good at, because that’s how he was trained. Foreign influence is one of those things that he’s very good at thanks to that training, and Russia has been good at for a very long time, actually. So it’s kind of one of Russia’s core competencies.
Lots of reports of massive funding by Russia in influence campaigns.
Seems to project weakness more than strength when the world’s second nuclear power isn’t even sure if it’s ICBMs work.
There are daily updates on many channels on YouTube if you want to keep up.
The main reason Trump is saying these things is that it’s already abundantly clear that every country in Europe will be hitting their NATO funding target in the next few years anyway. They’ve all made plans to that effect anyway. So Trump can make it look like he did it, when in reality it had already been decided.
Sure. But a few republican voters might get the message. Republicans were historically the hawkish party, it must be difficult to square the circle that they are now basically the party supporting today’s Hitler.
It is a good talking point against Republicans though.
Stay the fuck in Russia Tucker.
Don’t worry, Israel will never let them back on their land anyway.
I hope there are plenty of GLSDB arriving soon to start grinding it up.
Unfortunately the US has a lot better access to labor, better demographics, and more natural resources and better river networks, etc. to exploit, not to mention extremely good natural defense lines. No matter how well run Europe is in comparison, the US will always have a massive head start.
Yeah zero chance this happens in our lifetimes. They don’t have enough in common to pull something like this off. It took Europe half a century and they are all next door neighbors with roughly the same values.
China’s just happy to get rid of more of its currency so it can keep more dollars in reserve.
Now that’s the idea we could have rolled with from the get-go.
Nice. The legs make great toothpicks.
There’s quite cheap knx stuff on Ali Baba.
I’m sure TSMC would become untenable if either the US stopped buying or selling to them, though I tend to disagree and think that not licensing US tech would kill them faster. I’m pretty sure that much of that tech is not available from anywhere else and would just cause a full stop of their business, at least for some time. It’s easier to survive on lower revenue than it is on a fully shuttered assembly line.
